Mei and her parents walked outside, Mei was surprised to see her entire family standing in a circle. Mr gao stood Infront of everyone with the big talisman in his hand.

Mei was nervous, she looked over at Qiao who just stuck her thumbs up in hopes to comfort Mei.
"Just follow my directions, and breath" Mr gao said putting his arm around Mei and walking her to the centre of the circle

Ming smiled encouragingly and Mei which made the girl feel a bit better. Mei sat down. "Now don't move from the circle!" Mr gao warned "you understand?"

Mei nodded and the old man started to make a big circle out of chalk, Mei watched him do so nervously, she was shaking. When Mr gao finished the circle, one of Meis aunts hit a bowl, the clanging scared Mei. Another one of Meis aunts started banging gently on the drum, all of them soon started singing in Cantonese. Mei looked around, looking up at everyone nervously

"What are they saying?" She asked Mr Gao
" The door will open only if we sing from out hearts" Mr gao started blabbering on making Mei confused.

"Now, focus on their voices, let them guide you"

Mei closed her eyes as she tried to concentrate on everyone's chanting, she listen very intently. Not moving, she didn't even know if she was breathing.

The circle started to glow, and Mr gao spoke up again "oh Sun Yee, revered ancestor, hear us now"
Mei opened her eyes and looked over at her parents and sister. Ming and Jin held hands, they chanted looking at Mei.

Meis gaze shifted to Qiao who was also chanting, she was looking at Mei nervously, when she noticed the girl looking at her she sent her a reassuring smile.

"Guide this girl through her inner storm!" My gao said out loud, Mei looked up at the moon, which was now fully red. Everything started to shake. Mei would be lying if she said she wasn't scared, she was petrified.

The circle started to glow a bright blue colour, Mei started to slowly float up into the air, the feeling was weird, it felt like she was flying, but not in a good way.

"Louder! Louder" Mr gao yelled to everyone, making them all chant louder keeping their eyes tightly shut. Mei was now fully floating in the air

"Return the red panda spirit! From where it came!" Mr gao held up the talisman, the mone shone through the crystal on it. A bright red laster blasted out of the crystal right in the middle of Meis forehead. Mei became unconscious and the chanting became louder.

Mei opened her eyes and found herself in the middle of a bamboo forest, she didn't recognise the area and she was very confused. She looked around hoping to find someone or something.

A big gust of wind started to push her towards a specific direction, mei yelped in surprise before reluctantly going the way the wind pushed her. She took small cautious steps before ending up in a clearing. Mei looked up and squinted, she saw something weird in the pink sky

Suddenly Sun Yee flow down ethereally, she stared at Mei gently smiling at her softly. Mei gasped "Sun Yee" she mumbled in disbelief before bowing down in respect, Sun Yee repatriated.
She then made a circle motion with her hands and a large black portal appeared

Mei started at it before walking closer gasping as she saw her reflection, except it wasn't her, it was her old self. She still had her dark black hair as before. Mei hesitantly looked up at Sun Yee who just started off in a monotonous way. She gulped and stuck her hands in, gasping in shock when panda hands flew out her way. She took a deep breath before pushing her hands into the portal grunting as she struggled to push her hands in

Mei took a deep breath before pushing her head into the portal, using all her strength to try push her entire body through.

Meis body twitched as everyone kept chanting loudly, Jin and Ming held onto each other watching as Mei was in the air still unconscious. Qiao stared at Meis body nervously, her heart was beating out of her chest. She hopes everything goes well and Mei manages to get rid of the panda.

Qiao jumped when the panda spirit flew out of Meis body, in the blink of an eye Mr Gao pulled out a pendant holding it close to the panda. It glowed red and started to suck the pandas spirit into it.
"You can do it Mei!" Ming said to herself, trying to encourage the girl even though she couldn't hear her

Mei pulled with all her might, her entire upper body was through the portal. Mei groaned and kept pulling, she stared at the panda and whimpered at the sight of it. She thought of all the good times she's had with the panda, all her friends having fun and for once, Mei was actually herself with the panda. Meis mind went back to reality

"NO!" she screamed and ran back towards the panda. Suddenly there was a large explosion, pink smoke everywhere.

After it faded away, everyone coughed. Mei opened her eyes and looked down at herself, she was a panda! Yes! She sighed happily.
"What happened" lily questioned as she looked up at Meis panda in suprise, everyone was surprised.

Qiao groaned and sat up, staring at Mei surprised as she was still in her panda form. Ming rushed up to Mei
"It's okay! We can do it agai-"

Mings words were cut short when Mei pulled away from her mother, holding onto her pandas tail tightly
"Mei-Mei?" Ming questioned staring at Mei confused

"I'm keeping it" Mei said quietly, everyone gasped. Turning to her "what did she say" grandma choked out shocked and appalled

"I'm keeping it" Mei said louder, she turned towards the door and started to stomp towards it. Everyone started to shout words of confusion and complaint! They all grabbed onto Mei holding onto her and trying to stop her from leaving.

Mei grunted and tried pulling away from everyone's grasp "let me go" she grunted before yelling and pushing everyone away.

Everyone fell back, Meis sharp claws accidentally scratched Qiao across the cheek making her fall back surprised and hurt. Mings necklace cracked because of the fall. "I'm going to the concert!" Mei yelled before bolting out of the temple. Ming and everyone else watched in shock, everyone stood up and started crowding around Ming who was on her hands and knees staring at the temple door in shock,

"Ming what happened?"
"How could you let this happen Ming?"

Ming painted heavily, tears falling down her face. Her pendant cracked more. Jin bent down beside her rubbing her back in sympathy trying to calm down his wife
"It's okay Ming" he reassured trying to keep her calm

Qiao was also by her side, her cheek bleeding but she ignored it "mom, it's okay"

Ming grunted in anger, her pendant cracked more the angrier she got. Everyone became silent

"How could she do this to her own mother!!"
