Chapter 4

VEGAS POV:

"Boss, an unknown car is parked around the corner"

"Mhm okay"

I heard the car staring up and once I saw it driving away I knew exactly who it was.

"Should we follow it?"

"No, I know who it is"

"Alright"

Once he'd walked away, I sighed looking up at the now black sky with stars.

"What am I gonna do?"

I thought rubbing my hand on my forehead.

PETE POV:

"What do you want to do?"

Porsche asked.

"I want to go home"

"You sure?"

He replied, suprised by my answer.

"Yes"

"Alright then"

I started the car and began the journey home.

"You sure you want to stay?"

Porsche repeated as I pulled into the driveway.

"I want answers."

" *Sigh* okay, text me if you need anything"

We waved eachother goodbye as he walked off home. I placed my hand on the doorknob and slowly twisted it open.

"Hello Bud"

Buddy jumped all over me, his tail wagging excitedly. I sat on the sofa with buddy on top of me.

"Your dad has been a bad man"

I whispered stroking his soft brown fur.

"We'll sort it out Bud"

He quietly barked hearing a car pull into the drive. I got up peaking out the window to see Vegas getting out.

"Hey, I'm home"

I ignored him and carried on stroking Buddy.

"Pete"

He came and sat with me on the single chair.

"I can explain everything"

"I'm counting on it."

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you before, it's just that...I...uhm"

"You what?"

"I wanted to keep you away from everything, I wanted you to be safe and not to worry"

"I prefer honesty. If you told me what your did then maybe I could have accepted that but now that I found out on my own, I don't know anymore."

"Please Pete, don't leave me"

His voice sounded shaky, I felt bad for him but who knows how many people he's murdered.

"Fine. One chance to explain yourself."

"Thank you!"

He smiled but it wasn't returned.

"It all started when..."
