PETE POV:

"Come"

He said, getting up of the chair, I followed him upstairs back into the wardrobe.

Reaching onto the top storage shelf, he took down a cardboard box with the words Mom written on the side in a black marker.

"She passed away a few years ago so I took as much of her stuff as I could"

Sadly, he smiled looking through the her old pictures, letters and clothing.

"The necklace you wear"

I uncovered the necklace, it was hung loosely around my neck.

"That was my mom's, she told me to give it to the person I fall in love with"

I looked down at it, not realising the importance of it.

"My papa is a cruel man, that's why you haven't met him yet"

"I'm sorry you had to go through all that"

"I distance myself from him now because I don't want him hurting you"

His eyes were sad, I interwined our hands resting my head on his shoulder.

"He's always been the same, he mentally and physically hurt her and I'll never ever forgive him",

His tone turned from soft to serious.

There were a few minutes of silence before he spoke again

"My aunt has been dying to see you"

"Really?"

"Yup"

"How about we see her tomorrow?"

"Alright, I'll text her and tell her"

He pulls out his phone while I carry on looking at the old pictures.

His mother was beautiful, she had long brown hair and blue eyes.

"We'll see her tomorrow"

"We should get ready for bed"

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you Pete, I just didn't want to loose you"

"I would have appreciated being told earlier but I know you didn't mean to upset me so I'll forgive you"

"Thank you love"

He planted a kiss on my forehead.
