Mondstadt.

The famed nation where freedom thrives and where the winds of peace prevail.

Truly, it was the best grand entrance an otherworldly traveler could get upon stumbling on this foreign world, greeting his arrival and showing off its grandeur beauty for his eyes to see.

Yet beneath the city's enchanting appearance, there was chaos brewing underneath that was only beginning to make itself known.

Aether, a brave man in the pursuit of finding the footsteps of his missing twin in this world where many secrets remain unspoken, volunteered his helping hand to its people and offered great help to overcome whatever threatens their city.

The result of the fight was gratifying, as success came with it to reward their efforts.

With it, the city's threats were no more, and the freedom of all of its people was returned.

Or was it?

"Traveler."

A voice brushed Aether's thoughts aside, and he locked gazes with the one they refer to as the anemo god.

But then Aether grimaced, seeing as the one before him was failing to hide the wine bottle behind their figure with a giddy smile, indicating their loss of soberness.

Aether sighed in defeat, aiding the said god under the massive tree in Windrise and letting him rest.

Venti smiled the entire time, taking this moment to appreciate the goldenness of the traveler's heart and soul.

His entirety, per se.

After spending a good amount of time with this blonde traveler, the archon could only admire the pureness of his soul and the kind character he has.

Right then and there, he was certain this was the person he was looking for.

"Are you departing for Liyue?" Venti slurred.

"Yes." And as always, Aether's briefness shined, showcasing his composed and normally distant personality.

Venti shook his head with a defeated grin at his answer, burying his hand into his side pocket and letting it linger there for a while, almost contemplating.

Then he smiled, taking something out from his pocket and into the hands of the blonde. "Then it's best to take this with you."

Aether gave a confused look, feeling something placed on top of his palm, waiting for Venti to lift his hand away so he could see what it was.

When Venti did, he stared in wonder at the small glass bottle laying in his hand.

With it came a black leather cord, indicating that it was to be adorned on his neck like a pendant.
