They left the next day, no questions asked.
If [Name] was the one who requested it, he'd follow through right away.
He had no idea why she asked that, but he should have known that it was to see the one person that made all of this happen in the first place.
"Venti."
[Name] spoke of his name after they teleported to the statue of the anemo archon in Windrise, a certain nostalgia evident in her voice.
With just one name, the winds unraveled around them until the god in question appeared, floating before them.
When the archon landed on his feet, he gazed at the three people who requested his presence, heaving a relieved smile. "It's about time."
[Name] was quick on her feet and jumped on the archon's arms, Venti laughing cheerfully while twirling her around easily. "Yes yes. I missed you as well, little one!"
Aether and Paimon watched with a fond look at the scene, finding it rather adorable that the girl was acting so peppy to see the archon once again.
That was understandable, since [Name] was in Venti's care before them and it's been a long time since they've last visited Mondstadt.
Of course, Aether grew a bit jelly but not enough to stop the woman from doing whatever makes her happy.
As long as she smiles, who was he to stop her?
He loved seeing her so carefree and high-spirited.
[Name] was plopped back down on the ground, Venti patting her head and telling her how much she has grown over the time they've been apart.
"Eww, did you go drinking again?" [Name] scrunched her nose in disgust, catching a whiff of alcohol in his breath.
The archon guiltlessly giggled, motioning the group to follow as he led them under the great tree of the hero Vennessa.
It was a nice relaxing area underneath its foliage, sheltered by the blazing sun and blessed by the sounds of the birds and leaves waving around.
They sat down on the grass, and admittedly Aether and Paimon didn't know how much they missed Mondstadt up until now, as their forms were kissed by the familiar winds again.
"Mondstadt truly is peaceful." Paimon breathed out loudly, the feeling of content spreading in her entire body.
"Indeed." Venti agreed. "How have you been, little one? Has the traveler taken good care of you these past three years?"
[Name] nodded vigorously, nudging the embarrassed traveler since he was being talked about. "More than I can ask for."
"That's wonderful news for my ears. Well? Go on then~! Tell me everything."
