The shambles of a holiday was finally drawing to a close that evening, and Claudia was surpassingly torn about the whole thing. Despite wanting to run back to the comfort of her own place in London far away from the mess of most of the extended Weasley family, she found herself noting that there would be stuff she would miss. Namely the fair skinned, red haired man who remained peacefully sleeping beside her.

Whilst Ron had been able to nap the afternoon away, Claudia remained awake staring at the ceiling above her, mind running at 200 miles an hour. Well maybe not that fast, she wasn't sure it was humanly possible, but her thoughts were rampant. And she was not sure whether it was spiralling in a bad way or not. She hated the fact that despite everything that had occurred, which wasn't possibly the most but still remained very much past the expected, that she had still entered this bubble. The bubble of a relationship which wasn't real. But it felt so real. She knew her emotions were real, that was hard to ignore since they had slammed her at full force. But the relationship was still very much fake, or at least to her knowledge it was. Yet whilst they were here, on holiday with his family, it was the opposite. In this little bubble of time, everything was very much real. Here in France, Ron was her boyfriend. One of which she was very proud of and no way near in shame or wanting to hide, rather she wanted everyone to know. Yet she knew that when they left, and the bubble popped she would be back to knowing it was still fake. Even if it felt very much the opposite.

Claudia knew that she had the power to change this, she had the power to make things go from fake to real. But Claudia was an heiress, and yes she usually got whatever she wanted. But she usually got it without asking, and despite wanting this more than many other things she had wanted in recent time she didn't have it in her to ask for it. She wished that telepathy was a real thing, permeant telepathy, so she didn't have to say it aloud. She had never had to start such a confession before, or really ever. Rather Claudia was someone who despite having been popular with boys, and men, during her years had never truly had that proper relationship. Maybe a fling she could have considered, or the odd date. But she hadn't had something special or proper before and she was a little clueless on how to go about everything. And therefore, she wouldn't. Just purely out of principle.

She would think little more when she felt movement beside her in the bed. Ron had shifted and at first she assumed it was in his sleep as she had finalised that he liked to search out the heat source during the night and was not a fan of being cold as he slept. Considering the last few mornings she had awoken to him piled on top of her for the warmth. Therefore, when he moved to cuddle in, she assumed he was still asleep. It would turn out he was not.

"Have you been awake this whole time?" His voice rough as he moved to flop a good chunk of himself over her resting his head upon her chest.

"No." Her lie was clear in the tone she was using.

"Claude I thought we were meant to be taking a nap?"

"You were and I was supporting you doing so."

"Such a supportive girlfriend Claude." Ron spoke and Claudia could feel the air slam out of her in shock. She hoped it wasn't obvious but the way she had tensed at his words clearly was. "Claude?"

"When we leave this bubble, what happens to us?" Her words were on the quieter side and she could not believe what she was even doing. She was not sure really what she was getting at herself, yet alone making it clear to someone else.

"What do you mean, nothing happens." Ron seemed a little bit clueless to what she was trying to say and she supposed she could not blame him but she had hoped he was a little bit aware of the lines they were crossing.

"Ronald, I... I don't want to leave this." Claudia sighed as she spoke.

"I mean it's nice here but I'm ready to go back home." Ron mumbled as he tried to fight to keep himself awake for whatever Claudia was trying to tell him, but he wasn't the most sure. He wasn't sure of anything when girls bounced around what they were trying to say. And though Claudia could be upfront about certain things it turned out whatever this was about she was the opposite. And he was way too sleepy to be connecting any dots.

"Yeah." Claudia wanted to kick herself for the way she was behaving so unlike herself. And she wondered if it was a good thing or not as she found herself changing just slightly the more time she spent around the older man. But she supposed that would have to be a question for another day as she heard the evening out of Ron's breath as he settled back to sleep cuddled in closely to her.

And she came to realise she would have to really do some thinking, and just maybe work out how she was going to finally break down that wall what was stopping her from going to get what she really wanted. Rather she only moved her hands to gently brush against his head weaving through his ginger strands.
