Four Years Later...

A sharp single knock resonated through the office door of Claudia Parkinson. The office, though now slightly larger still held the same charm and decorations it had once held when it was much smaller. Usually, she would shout to allow for her visitor to enter, especially knowing that there was no real scheduled appointment she was supposed to be waiting for. Yet this time she decided to answer the door in person. After all that sharp knock was one she was so used to hearing, the one of which felt like home to her. And she knew that she must open the door to see the person waiting on the other side.

Opening the heaving wooden door, she came to look at the face she had been expecting. The one she loved so dearly. Ronald had only continue to age gently and perfectly in her eyes. His ginger hair was slightly longer than he had styled it in the previous years, but it was styled away from his forehead and allowed his deep chocolate eyes to drown you in a pool of sweet bliss.

"Well hello Mr Parkinson." She greeted moving to embrace him wrapping her arms around his neck and waiting for him to return her affection.

"Mrs Parkinson, I feel honoured you stood from your desk to greet me." Ron teased and she stepped back to gently hit her husband on the arm.

"I could draft divorce papers in minutes." She threatened but both knew it would never happen in that manner. Plus Claudia had never organised divorce papers in her life. It was a blag and a horrible one at that.

"No no, don't even joke about that one pretty girl." Ron's voice had dropped a little bit and Claudia gave him a weak smile in response.

"What are you going to do punish me right here?"

"If that's what it takes absolutely."

"I'm sorry that was unnecessary. Come in, please is something going on?" Claudia dragged him into her office allowing him to sit upon the chair he often claimed was his own specifically.

"Yeah I'm sorry to disturb you, but I got a call from the pre-school. Hugo's been a little shitbag again today." Ron paused waiting to see how Claudia was going to react, only to get a laugh in response.

"Again? What have those Weasley genes done to him?" Claudia joked before pouring the man a drink from the kettle she kept inside of her office.

"No it's the Parkinson genes which cause him to create trouble." Ron argued back, after all the boy did hold the Parkinson name at the end of the day. Surely that had to hold a significantly bigger hold.

"Your brothers blew up your owl exam hall with a dragon firework display." Claudia tried to prove her point.

"Your sister's foul." Yet Ron was ready to dispute her.

"Touchè. Suppose we'll need to have another to settle the debate." Claudia had her back turned to him as she added the final part missing the look of shock which settled upon his face. Sure they had spoken about having a second child a few times now but it had last been brought up months ago. Ron had almost thought she had changed her mind, but it would appear otherwise. He wanted a second child, he didn't want a family as big as his own, but he had remembered clearly them talking all those years ago about having a daughter and now he had his son he wanted a little girl to complete their family.

"Are you offering?"

"You really think I'm all bark and no bite Ronald?"

Nine months later and Evelyn Parkinson would enter the world. Turns out the pair of them could keep their word.

They would also come to the conclusion that it was both the Parkinson and the Weasley gene pool which caused the troublemakers in their family.
