~Ambers POV~
Today was the day for evaluations. The day were I would learn which tributes are more dangerous and which are not. A slight tinge of nervousness was coursing through my thoughts. Unlike other tributes, I HAVE to do well, I have to live up to my title of a slayer. Talk about pressure. Mitch, who is standing next to me right now, seemed to notice how I was feeling. Boy, he knows me too well. He smiled down at me, squeezing my hands.
"Your going to do fine, Amber." He assured me. I smiled back."You will too, your the strongest boy I know."
He chuckled, "Strong huh? Stronger then that Jason guy I always see you with?"
I stared at him with wide eyes. "Is 'Mr. I'm always right' jealous?"
"Me? Jealous? Of him? You've got to be kidding me."
I rolled my eyes, "of course Mitch, keep telling yourself that."
He sent me that wide grin of his. "I will, little miss 'I'm going to kill anybody in my way'"
All I did was role my eyes. "Come on, what weapon are you going to use?"
He shrugged, "what do you think I should use?" He questioned.
I tilted my head to the side, thinking of what weapon he's best at. "Probably spear."
"Yeah? Ok. What are you going to use?"
"What do you think I'm going to use?"
"Knife." He answered immediately.
"Correct, mr. Hughes, turns out you do know me well."
He smiled, pretending to do a hair whip, sending me into a smile, a real smile.
"Good to know, Miss Woods."
I grinned, "let's go, were on in like 15."
He cocked his head. "Lezz go."
With that, I find us dashing out of the district 4 dorm, and arriving to the elevator shorty after. As the elevator dinged open, two other tributes were in there, and I smiled at the sight of them. Jason and Kurai.
"Hi." I broke the silence.
"Hello." Kurai cocked her head at me, while Jason just adverted his gaze on me, slightly nodding his head in acknowledgement. I glanced back and Mitch, who was apparently glaring at Jason. Jason seemed to notice, and transferred his gaze onto Mitch's, glaring right back at him. Then came Kurai right beside Jason, looking just as confused as I was. Did something happen between Mitch and Jason?
I stepped closer to Kurai, slightly nudging her on her shoulder. 'What happened?' I mouthed.
'I really have no idea.' She mouthed back.
I sighed in defeat, leaning back on the elevator frame, anticipating until the 'ding' sound comes, to let us know we have reached our floor. A few seconds past.

Ding!
I'm pretty sure Kurai and I looked ridiculous, mainly because we both wanted to get out of the confined box of Mitch and Jason staring at each other. As we arrived, I noticed that most tributes were already here, standing in the correct order of how they are going in. I entered the room, glaring at some tributes in the lower districts, hoping that I would intimidate them every more then I already have.
As I glanced back, Jason and Mitch have finally arrived, the glaring contest finally over. I slowly walked over to Mitch, and stood beside him."What was that about?" I hissed.
"What was what about? And what's with the hiss?" He replied, with his signature innocent face.
"You know what! As for the hiss, trying to sound intimidating." I replied.
He gave me a smug smile. "You? Intimidating? Yeah right."
"Shut up! All the other tributes think I'm a slayer! And would you stop trying to change the subject?"
"I really do not know what you are talking about." He hissed back.
"The glaring at Jason?" I growled.
"Ohh." He sighed in realization. "I just don't like him."
"Ugh. Whatever. Just. Get ready for this please."
"Ok! Fine."
"Ok."
A loud slam interrupted our fighting, and a capital attendant walked in. "District one boy now." He spoke in monotone. I growled under my breath on how he addressed us as our district number and gender. The district one boy, Ben, followed the capital attendant, and the list goes on. After Ben followed Winnie, Chad, Amy, Connor, and finally Tiffany. Then it was Mitch's turn.
"Good luck." I whispered to him as he entered the room.
10 minutes later Mitch came out, and judging by his expression, I think he did well. The capital attendant came out again, but this time he called my name. I walked across the room and through the door he held open for me, holding my head high, I walked over to the knife section. All the capital people were still busy chatting and enjoying their fest.
I cleared my throat. "Amber Woods, District 4." At this point, most people were still chatting, with a few pairs of eyes on me. I threw the knives, and all of them hit dead centre. I turned around, proud of my work, and faced the capital people again.Nobody was facing me. Frustrated, I threw a knife right at their little BBQ pig. All of them looked up and gasped. I took more knifes and threw them at the target. Dead centre for all of them again. I looked up once again.
"Thank you for your time, good night, and may the odds be ever in your favour." With that, I turned and strutted out. Obnoxious capital people. How stupid they are with their cake face and bright hair. Not to mention the tattoos and fake skin. I sighed. This is going to be an interesting hunger games. I went through the list of tributes in my head again, this taking up my thoughts completely, and with me not noticing, I flopped down on my bed, comforted with the material, I tried to find sleep. But I couldn't. There was just one thing on my mind blocking me from sleep.
"Happy hunger games, and may the odds be ever in your favour." I whispered.
