~Ambers POV~

"AMBER!"

Finnick yelling my name across the hall was what I woke up to. Great way to wake up, don't you think? I mentally groaned, heaving my body up from the comfy bed. If there's one thing the capitals good at, it's making comfy beds. Me being me, I fell back into the unusual comfortable bed almost as soon as I get up. I mean, I might not even life for another 7 days, so why not make the best of it.

"Jeez, your so lazy, Amber. I gotta admit, I never thought of you like that." A voice spoke. I turned around to find Mitch leaning against my door frame. I groaned again, turning around so that my back was facing him. Mitch, finding it amusing I guess, chuckled from behind me. "I'm not kidding, Amber. Finnick told me to get you up, the ratings for yesterday are coming in soon. Really don't want to miss that." He said.

I rolled myself off of bed, and got up and followed Mitch out of my room, still half asleep. I'm pretty sure I looked like a lost puppy following its owner. "What do you think you got?" I asked, rubbing my eyes in the process.

"I don't really know, as long as I got like a 9, I'm happy."

"Nine huh? Aiming for average, Mitch."

He put his hands up in defence. "Hey, we are a career district, got to look good, but not that good."

I scoffed. "As if I'll ever join the career group. They're all idiots. Mentally and physically."

"Yeah yeah, I get it, now, come on, let's watch."

"Fine." I said, as I was dragged over to our breakfast table, and as soon as I got there, Finnick and Cassiana greeted me. Just as Finnick was about to speak, probably a snarky remark about me getting up, the national anthem played, as the TV turned on. The voice that read our results spoke in monotone.

"District one. Ben with the score of 10. Winnie with the score of 9." The screens flashed with their picture and score, as it moved on to the next district.

"District two. Chad with the score of 10. Amy with the score of 10." I growled at Amy's score. Great. She better not have gotten a higher score than I did, if she did, I won't hear the end of it.

"District three. Connor with the score of 10. Tiffany with the score of 9." I nodded, impressed. Usually, district 3 doesn't get that high score, since they don't start training as young as we do.

"District four." Mitch and I drew in a sharp breath. "Mitch with the score of 10." We all grinned at Mitch, as he had a wide smile plastered on his face. Finnick congratulated him. Now all the pressure was on me. "Amber with the score of 12." With that, my hand flew right to my mouth. No one has ever gotten a 12! I was breathless. Mitch had already tackled me in a hug, while Finnick patted my back, Cassiana just smiling the hideous capital smile.

"District 5. Alex with the score of 9. Emily with the score of 8."

"District 6. Josh with the score of 8. Kaitlyn with the score of 7."

"District 7. Marley with the score of 7. Chloe with the score of 7."

"District 8." I inhaled another sharp breath. I silently pleaded that Jason and Kurai would get a good score. "Jason with the score of 9. Kurai with the score of 8." I exhaled. Those were really good scores for district 8. By really good, I mean it. Looks like they brought their A games to the evaluations.

"District 9. Lucas with the score of 8. Adrianne with the score of 7."

"District 10. Christen with the score of 7. Alena with the score of 7."

"District 11. James with the score of 8. Bella with the score of 6." I felt a slight twinge of pity for Bella. The poor girl probably won't make it out of the bloodbath with a score like that. Finally, district twelve came on.

"District 12. Rowan with the score of 8. Winter with the score of 7." With that, the television turned off, leaving us all quite. Mitch was the first to talk.

"AMBER!!!! A TWELVE!!! THE FIRST EVER TWELVE IN THE HISTORY OF HUNGER GAMES!!!" He engulfed me in a hug. I laughed at that.

"Thanks Mitch. You got higher than that nine you were aiming for, didn't you?"

He shoot me a wide smile, showing off his dimples. "Yeah I did, didn't it?"

I shook my head vigorously. "You did."

"I did."

"Yup."

"Yup."

A/N sorry I do realize it's a bit short, but thanks for reading. I'm want to post as soon as I can, and when I say, "I can," it means whenever I have free time or whenever my writers block goes away. I'll try to make it a bit longer next time, as this is only a filler chapter.
