Chapter three|| Her.

Millie's pov:

I could feel her glaring at me while I was working. It was like she was trying to kill me with her eyes. Cade kept getting closer and I kept acting like I didn't notice. As I was working, Cade passed me another note. Again. I read it "So as you could tell. I don't like my "girlfriend" all that much, I wanna break up with her but she's kinda uh obsessive?" I read the note again, wondering if I was reading it correctly, Did he just say he didn't like her??? I wrote back "then why are you with her?" I passed it back to him and continued working. It was a few minutes before he passed the note back, "Well I did like her at one point but she keeps making me feel cornered and She's depressed a whole lot towards me, it's almost like guilt tripping." I sighed, Knowing his type very well. Considering I was his ex, He almost always is with some girl who's mentally unstable. I wrote back, "well how do you want me to help you?" and passed it back then continued working. I was working on my equations, it was a review that way the teacher could know where we are, and to see if any of us needed help to get caught up. As I was finishing my paper, he passed the note back. "Well I know you hate me but I was wondering if we could try as friends to make her jealous, I need a girl best friend" I rolled my eyes and wrote back "you know where "girl best friends" lead to, and you should already know I don't wanna do that again." I passed the note back to him and stood up to hand my paper in and to ask to use the restroom. I walked up to the teacher's desk, handing my paper in and asked the teacher to use the bathroom "Yes you can, Ms Evergreen." I walked out of the classroom and to the good restrooms, I didn't wanna use the horrible ones, they usually have students having..well you know. As I was going to wash my hands, Hazel walked in. "What do you think you're doing with my boyfriend?" She asked. I looked at her as if she was retarded or not. "Nothing, I'm not interested in him, I'm his ex after all." She rolled her eyes at me and scoffed "Uhuh, I'm starting to doubt that, Why the hell were you so close to him in class, and what were those notes you were passing to him??" I sighed, frustrated. "He was passing notes, and He was asking me to help him with the equations since he's a fucking retard." I lied. I walked passed her, not even waiting for her reply and walked back to class. As I was sitting down, Cade looked at me worriedly. I looked back, confused. He whispered to me "The office called you down, the teacher is asking why they want you." I gave him a confused look as the teacher walked in. "Ms. Evergreen, Please head to the main office." I stood up and started heading to the main office, wondering what happened. I passed by Hazel, She gave me a death glare as I walked passed her. I just rolled my eyes. I entered the office to My favorite person being there, Michelle, she was my dad's best friend, and the only friend my mother liked. "what's wrong?" I asked Michelle. She looked at me sadly. "Your mom started throwing up blood, She's in the hospital right now, your father is with her and your brother is coming down from texas with his wife." I sighed, Knowing what was gonna happen. "So are you going to take me out of school or?" I asked. Michelle thought about it for a moment, "No I want you to finish your day, maybe go out with friends, have fun while you can, don't worry about your father I can handle him" She answered. I nodded and said bye to her, walking back to class. As I sat down, Cade looked at me, I guess you could tell I was upset. "Are you okay?" he whispered. I replied back "I'm fine, Mom's in the hospital, That's all." Class finally ended and it was time for lunch. We were allowed off campus and I went to The little miss cafe for a Mocha frap, with an extra shot of expresso and chocolate drizzle. It was in walking distance. As I was leaving the cafe, I got a call from an unknown number, I answered it. "Hello?" I said, "Hey Millie!" Cade replied. I sighed "How the fuck did you get my phone number?" I said "I got it from cillie, She's wondering where you are btw" he replied. "I'm on my way back to school" I said and hung up. I walked back to school and went to the lunch tables, trying to find cillie. She was sitting with cade and Kareem. Kareem is my boyfriend, Basically my everything. I sat next to cillie and stole a fry from her. "hey love" said Kareem. I smiled and replied "Hi babe, how was class?" He sighed "Oh just you know, girls asking if I'm single yet" I rolled my eyes at his reply and Looked at Cade. You could tell he was heavily jealous. Cillie interrupted my thoughts. "Today is a short day since it's the first day of school, wanna all hang out?" I replied "Sure, But what are we gonna do??" She thought about it for a moment and looked around if there was any teachers near us and then whispered "We could all go out and drink, I know Millie has some hidden, and I got some too, We could always just you know, buy some weed off of someone here after school" Everyone nodded in agreement. I texted michelle to let her know I wasn't gonna be home for awhile, maybe all night. The bell rang again and signaled it was our last class period. We all said bye to each other and headed to class. "Finally a class without cade or Hazel" I thought. It was close to being the end of class and I got a phone call, From Michelle. I answered it "hello?" "Hi sweetie, can you step out of class please?" Michelle replied. I asked the teacher if i could step out and I walked out of class into the hallway "Okay I'm out." Michelle sighed. "Well sweetie, your mom is gone, She had blood leak into her stomach and They couldn't get it all out, I'm so sorry hun." I stared at the wall. "It's fine, it was her time anyways." I said bye to her and hung up, and went back into class. Class finally ended and I went to my locker, Everyone was there already, waiting for me. "hey." I said, as I was opening my locker. "Soo, My house?" Said Cillie. Cade and Kareem nodded and I said nothing. Just going along with what they were doing, I couldn't wrap my head around anything. We all walked to Kareem's car and got in. Kareem started driving to Cillie's house while I stared out the window.
