emma was in her new york apartment, feeling as if the world was caving in on her. she had just gotten back from a bar and which ironically, ran into her good friend sebastian stan. she had gotten there pretty quickly after the interview from hell. which would no doubt be on the cover of every major tabloid and a major news story; letting the world that everything was getting to her. she would have defended her character and personal life, if she'd been allowed to say everything that had been lingering on her mind for months now. yet, that would mess things up and make things icky in the divorce. her publicist jackie walked into her apartment, with a very expensive red wine, pizza, and donuts from the street she now lived on. jackie hugged the girl who sat at the kitchen counter, who had a bottle of vodka in front of her and a dry shot class. she had been taking gulps of the spicy drink straight from the bottle, not bothering with the shot glass. "here." jackie said placing the wine on the counter, which emma took quickly. she took the cork out, gulping the red liquid quickly. jackie slid away the vodka, and began to put it back in the freezer, "uh uh." emma said holding up her hand, jackie sighed before taking it back out and placing it back in front of her. she began to alternate. "lordy lord." jackie whispered picking up her phone and texting cillian. maybe he could comfort her or send words of encouragement, even if it was 2 am in dublin. emma dug into the pizza, scarfing two pieces down before jackie could assess the situation. she pressed send on the text, "i imagine you haven't heard anything about the interview?"
emma and jackie ate the pizza straight from the box at the counter, as jackie watched soberly while the blonde was slowly losing it. however, this drinking had been long overdue. she honestly needed to get drunk and blackout. wrong? well ofcourse. but after this, emma would be fine. jackies phone buzzed, "um no?" cillian responded and jackie let him know what had happened. "how is she doing?" he questioned, and she chuckled lightly. sending a picture of her current situation. a bottle of vodka and red wine in front of her, while she ate another slice. jackie placed her phone down, and then the two heard emma's phone ringing. yet, neither one knew where it was. "where is it." emma seethed under her breath, "fucking christ." she murmured as she stumbled into the counter. frustratedly. "here, let me help-" emma pushed jackie off of her. emma walked towards the living room, as the phone rang again. jackie couldn't be upset, she'd been in countless situations that resulted in that, that emma was sometimes on the receiving end. emma continued to curse under her breath before emma broke down crying. jackie walked cautiously into the room and saw emma on the ground. she slowly walked over, before pulling her friend into her arms. "why did i - i let it happen to me?" she sobbed, and jackie pulled her in tighter. "why did i let me dad coerce me into doing the things he was meant to do?" she sobbed. jackie felt her heart breaking as she continued to ramble and curse the world. jackie knew she needed to speak to marge the following morning. she needed to get back in touch with her therapist and needed some meds. like clockwork, emma began to think too much and thus, began to spiral into a panic attack. feeling as though her lungs had failed her, and she struggled to breathe. jackie rubbed the girl's back, trying to bring some amount of comfort. emma's mind also ran wild with the rumor on cillian and who he had apparently slept with. then it hit her quickly, it was that charlotte monroe girl, who she had heard about in london. emma needed to get up. emma abruptly got up, going back to the kitchen. jackie knew what she was doing.
