"I forgot to bring you something to eat," Logan realized softly. In all honesty, he'd almost forgotten that Patton was going to be here. The details must've gotten caught up in everything that happened back in his lecture room.

"Oh, that's okay. I bought some groceries anyway." Patton hopped up, looking a bit different than Logan was used to. He was a rounder kind of guy, with freckled skin and curly hair. His hair was a bit frizzy, clothes wrinkled as if he'd slept in them.

"Groceries?" he asked, following Patton into the kitchen.

"Mmhm, I figured I should, since I'll be here." He looked up at Logan with a soft smile. "You look tired."

"So do you."

"Yeah, I didn't really sleep well last night." He opened up the fridge and got out one of those little premade peanut butter and jelly sandwiches he'd always liked. "But, that's okay."

Logan watched as Patton took a bite, letting out a breath. "Yeah, I'm… I'm just tired. Thursdays."

"Thursdays," he agreed.

They stood in a bit of awkward silence until Patton finished his sandwich, tossing the wrapper and looking back up at Logan. "I missed you."

"I missed you too."

Patton was a few inches short than him, and it had always been an odd height difference. Usually if they were going to kiss, Logan would have to lean down at a strange angle so Patton could reach his lips. When they used to be more active, his favourite place was Logan's lap, because it meant they were pretty even and he could reach comfortably.

"I was just about to watch a movie," Patton said softly. "I can make popcorn. We can watch it together."

Logan wanted to say that he had papers to grade, but ultimately decided against it, in case Patton asked why he was at work so late if he wasn't grading. "Uh… Sure, let me get changed, though."

"Take your time. I'll make the popcorn." Patton moved to the cabinet, pulling out an old box of popcorn that was only about half empty.

Logan disappeared into his room, unlacing his tie and unbuttoning his shirt. He pulled on a simple, comfortable tee and, after some deliberation, a pair of black sweatpants. By the time he was back out in the living room, Patton was already on the couch, cuddled up in a blanket with a bowl of popcorn on his lap. Logan sat down on the other side of the couch, hands folded in his lap.

"Don't you want some popcorn?" Patton asked softly, scooting over so that he was next to Logan. "I made two bags."

"Thanks." He didn't get it. Usually Patton wasn't this affectionate. When was the last time they watched a movie together, side by side? He got even more confused when Patton set his head on Logan's shoulder, cuddling up to him.

"Hey Logan?" Patton said at one point.

"Yeah?"

"I made a mistake."

Logan glanced down, realizing that Patton had been looking at him for quite a while now. "Oh?"

"I miss you. I miss you a lot. I– please, let me have another chance. I made a mistake, and I won't make it again, I promise." He set the popcorn bowl to the side, taking Logan's hands in his. "I'm sorry I was so distant, and I'm sorry I accused you of all those things. Please, I miss you so much."
