It's funny how fast time flies when you're having fun.
I discovered that after cooking for the Avengers for a whole week, it was way more fun than I thought.
"Hey dad, do you think I could maybe cook for you guys a little more often?" I asked.
"You actually enjoyed the punishment I gave you?"
"Maybe just a little bit." I say, while pinching my fingers and scrunching my nose.
"Ahhh, damn it, now I've got to come up with another punishment!" He says while rubbing his face, dramatically.
My eyes widen at his words, "Uhhh, no, no, no that's ok. Actually I kind of hated it. I just think maybe cooking would continue my punishment, since you were so generous with your punishment." I say, convincingly.
He rolls his eyes, "Yah, whatever you say."
I smile at him, and then I feel a buzz in the back pocket of my shorts. I take my phone out and read the texts.
MJ: Hey, your not grounded anymore, right?
MJ: Wanna have a sleepover tomorrow??
MJ: My place?
Today is Friday, which means a sleepover Saturday night, to Sunday. That seems fun!
"Hey dad..." I say, looking up from my phone.
"What is it now, Y/n?" he says annoyed.
"Can I go sleepover a friends house tomorrow?"
"With Peter again?" He smirks at me, "I'm not so comfortable that you want to go and sleepover a boy's house, especially so often after the last time. I don't know what the two of you are doing, but teenage me...."
"Ewww dad, don't even finish that sentence!" My face starts to heat up too, "Peter isn't like that anyway! I meant my friend MJ."
"Uhh yah I.... oh wait, it's Rhodes birthday tomorrow. Can't you do it Sunday night instead, don't you remember you don't have school on Monday."
"Oh right!" I say, completely forgetting it was Uncle Rhodes birthday. "I'll just text her and tell her that we can do it Sunday."
Me: I can't do tomorrow, but can you do Sunday?
Me: We don't have school Monday, remember?
MJ: Ok, I'm free Sunday so we can totally do it then
MJ: 5?
Me: Sure. Till?
MJ: 1?
Me: pm?
MJ: Yah, not am lol
Me: Ha, sounds good!
"It's 5 till 1" I tell my dad.
MJ: Do you want us to pick you up from your house?
Uhhh that sure can't happen. But I really shouldn't be dropped off either. I guess I can just take the train, and dad can drive me if he really has to.
Me: No, it's fine I'll just take the train. Or my dad can bring me.
Me: What's your address?
I give dad the address of her house, give him a hug goodbye, and then race off to school.
The school day passes quickly and easily, per usual and ignore all the eyes on me as I walk outside the school. I didn't see Peter today. Or Ned or MJ for that matter. I do pass MJ on the way out though.
