Life in the day of a normal teen (not)

Well you learn something new everyday I guess.

I found out today that my schedule changes depending on the day it is.

Today was my fist day of gym class.

I walk around the school a bit looking for  the gym. I got compliments of my outfit on the way. Gotta say, thought this would be way worse on me then it actually is. Pepper does have good taste.

Well it made me feel better that Peter thinks so too.

But, still, the outfit is way out of my comfort zone.

I see from a distance, Peter, Ned, and MJ all standing by the lockers.

Michelle smirks when she sees me.

"What the hell are you wearing?"

I smack my forehead with my hand, "don't rub it in." We both start laughing.

I feel like all three of them have been my friends, since, forever. I really like it.

"I don't think there is anything wrong with your outfit. But, you do look lost, what are you looking for?" Ned asks.

"Gym, actually."

"Oh, well, we can help you find that. We are heading there as well."

We continue to walk, all together now, and chat until we reach the locker rooms and we go our separate ways. MJ and I in the girls, and Peter and Ned in the boys.

Finally I can change

I get changed in the gym clothes I got from the office on the first day and MJ gets changes into hers as well.

"I hate gym, it sucks." MJ complains as we walk out of the locker room. "Whatever, I'm glad it's the last class though. Oh by the way, do you have a phone number?"

"Oh yah, I'll totally give it to you after class!" I say with joy.

As we line up against the wall, the boys finally come and line up with all of us.

As people were still chatting with each other Coach Wilson interrupted, "Alright everyone, listen up. Today we will be playing dodgeball. I will be picking the teams."

Dodgeball?

No, no no! Wh-why dodgeball?

Why couldn't it be something more easier, like martial arts? Or karate, even jujitisu?

He separated us into two separate teams by giving us numbers.

The good thing is I'm with Peter!

The bad thing is we are against MJ and Ned.

"Uhh, how do you play dodgeball?" I say with a bit of embarrassment.

He gives me a weird look, "Pardon me if I'm being rude, but did you do anything in Montana?"

"I was... home-schooled you know." I remark back.

"Basically, it's really easy, doesn't have that many rules, and it's in the name. You have multiple balls, and people on the opposing side will try to throw them at you. You have to dodge it, otherwise, if you get hit, your out. If you catch the ball the person who threw it, is out."

"Oh wow that's not hard at all!" I roll my eyes.

"Come on, it's not that hard."

"No I know, but you said their isn't that many rules. That was quite a lot of information there."

"I'm not good at explaining things, ok!"

"Clearly!" I sigh, "I'll eventually figure it out."

The coach then blows his whistle, and everyone goes towards the middle to grab the balls. Well everyone except me.

"Monday, quickly brief me on how to play high school dodge ball."

"Of course, Y/n."

She quickly goes through all the rules, and thanks to my incredibly fast skills on remembering things and being super athletic, I join the game pretty quickly. I grab one of the balls from the middle and begin to throw at the closest person on the other side, from me.

This is super easy.

Nope, rookie mistake.

Jinxed myself of course.

A ball comes super close to my face and a do a side aerial to avoid from getting hit and being out.

"Ms. Miller amazing use of skills." Coach Wilson compliments me.

"Y/n!?"

I look over to see a shocked Peter.

"Not bad for someone who has never played doge ball before."

"Told you I'd figure it out. Look out!"

He quickly catches the ball with one hand.

Impressive.

Maybe this won't be as bad as I thought.

By the end of the game, I was sticky, sweaty, and super hot. So were my friends. My first thought was that I wanted to jump in a pool with all of my clothes on.

MJ wasn't as sweaty though since she just stood there with her book in hands, watching everyone get hit with foam balls.

MJ and I changed back into our clothes in the girls locker room and the boys did the same.

Once all of us were out, I gave all three of them my number, "I expect a text from each and every one of you tonight." I tease.

They laugh.

"Of course. Does that mean your going home?" Peter asks.

"Uh... yah I am."

MJ and Ned gave a weird look.

"That's for another day, I'll explain later."

"Are you getting a ride from Happy?" he asks.

Another weird look form the two teens.

"Another long story,  and no I want to surprise them."

Peter laughs, "Alright, do you want me to come with you so you don't get lost. New York is pretty big."

I roll my eyes, "I'll be fine Parker. Don't gotta worry about me."

We all walk out together.

We all go our separate ways but Peter and I still walk together since he takes the train to get home. We both find seats and sit down next to each other. It's tight, but it works.

We sit in comfortable silence and then my mind starts to wander.

"Oh god, he's gonna be so pissed." I mutter under my breath.

Peter puts his hand on my shoulder, reassuringly, "I'm sure he is just gonna be thankful to have you home more than anything."

I look into his shining brown eyes and smile.

Wait, what?

"I'll text you later and you can tell me how it went." He says and smiles.

"Alright", I smile back, "But don't forget."

He laughs, "Hoe could I ever forget about you."

I felt my face heat up and start to turn red.

"Well, anyways, I've got to go. This is my stop. Talk to you later." He says getting up and walking off the train.

"Okay, see you later. Oh and Peter?"

He turns back around, "Yeah?"

"Thank you. For everything you've done.

He smiles, "Always!"

He walks off and the train takes off leaving me in silence.

Home sweet home, here I come.
