I wake up hunched over, with my head on top of my text book on my desk. My tired eyes examined my dark bedroom around me, as I wiped the little bit of drool I had near my mouth. I stare at the wall as I remember the dream from last night, and then I shake it off as I realized I didn't turn the lights off last night. Not the first time I have left them on, though.
"Thank you, Monday." I say, my voice sounding muffled into my text book.
I was lucky enough to have my own AI. Dad thought it was best to have my own since I was lonely most of the time. Monday is modeled after my dad's AI, F.R.I.D.A.Y. Monday has an acronym, because we all know Tony Stark loves acronyms. Monday stands for My. Own. Nimble. Digital. Assistance. Youth.
Monday's system is built into the mansion, specifically and mostly my room, but I also created both a matching bracelet and earrings set, so I can talk to her wherever I go. The earrings are more practical since her voice is in my ears and only I can hear that way.
Monday has been my best friend these past couple years. Since no one knows I exist due to the amount of enemies my father has, I am not allowed to tell anyone who I am, or that I know Tony Stark. So that makes Monday, my one and only bestie and the Avengers my family. I know most of the staff here too and they are cool.
"Good morning, Y/n. How did you sleep?"
"Considering I slept on a text book, pretty well. Deeply in fact, so deep, I don't even remember what I was doing at my desk. Could you remind me please? Also can you turn on the lights?"
As the lights turned back on, and the shades opened, my eyes adjusted to the light.
"You were researching and creating some more designs off of the ones your mom started to create."
If I had looked good enough, the research, along with my mothers notes were right under me where I had fallen asleep. There were also some drawings of the new bracelet I was designing. It would be a new way of transportation.
I looked up from the designs, "Is this the drawing of the transportation tech? How come I didn't do a holographic blueprint?" My father always had drawn things with his technology, so it didn't make sense to me that I didn't do the same. Instead in front of me I had a sloppily drawn sketch.
"No, you have a holographic blueprint as well, that was your old drawing. Mr. Stark had asked me to disable you drawing after you fell asleep. He told me you needed your rest. Do you not remember?
"Not really, I'm still exhausted." I'm still dazed from my dream, as it was the night I had met my father and my mother was killed. I get that same dream every once in a while, but tend to ignore it most of the time.
"Hold on a minute, what time is it, Monday?"
"10:00."
"What!?!" I jumped off my chair, and ran with my mom's notes and my sketches in my hand. "Monday open the bookshelf." As it opened, it revealed the safe my dad designed for me to keep my most valuable objects in it. I pressed my finger on the scanner and then put in the code as I told it to "hurry up."
When the safe opened I put my sketches into my mother's notebook, and placed the notebook behind the clothes, dresses, and jewelry my mother had passed down to me when she died. I closed the safe behind me as I ran into the hall, and down the stairs.
"Monday close the shelf, please."
"Already done."
As I ran, I slid into the kitchen with my socks on. I saw Pepper sitting at the island.
