(Peter's POV)

Since Y/n is new, Ms. Cobbwell, asked me to show her around the classroom, since I'm the most advanced in this class.

So that makes me and Y/n lab partners for the rest of the year.

To be honest I'm not complaining one bit. She is super pretty. Like really really pretty. Her hair is wavy and pulled half back, and her shirt is black and see-through, but she has a tank top under it, of course. Her eyes are this really pretty shade of green but there is like a tint of blue. And I swear if she looks in the light a certain way, her eyes just sparkle. My heart seems to be beating so fast when I'm around her and I feel like everyone else can hear it, but I just met her, and I need to focus. I'm Spider-Man for pete's sake.

"Uh ok, so first we need to grab the materials which we did already, and now for safety reasons, we need to wear goggles. So to..."

She interrupts me before I can finish. "Peter, we are in Advanced Chemistry. I'm pretty sure I'm capable of knowing how to put on some goggles." She giggles once she finishes. I chuckle at her little remark.

She puts on her goggles. We already have all the ingredients laid out, so I begin to read the directions, "So basically we need to create a water purifier. We have these materials we get to use:

Gravel

Sand, Coarse grain

Sand, Fine grain

Activated Carbon

Plastic Tube

Cheese Cloth

We will be given water, and using these items to create a filtration device so that the water is clear, and almost perfectly, filtered," I explain.

(I had to do this as an assignment for one of my science classes, and the explanation below is what my group did and it worked really well)

Y/n already looked at the materials like she had an idea, "Well we could align them in the order, gravel, sand, charcoal, sand, and then gravel again.  The gravel can be used as a place holder for the sand so it doesn't poor out along with the water. The charcoal takes the stuff in the water out completely, almost like a back up in case the sand doesn't get all the particles out all the way. We put them on the bottom again so it ensures everything comes out." She paused for a second before saying, "Sorry I rambled." She puts her head down.

"No, no you didn't. That sounds like a really good idea." I respond as I am in awe at how smart she is, and came up with that idea in the small amount of time, as we only had the materials in front of us for a couple minutes.

"Great," she smiles.

She starts filling the tube with the materials she said, in that order.

Cmon Peter, do something, anything.

I pull out some of the ingredients that were not added in yet and added them above the ones she had already added. I also added the cloth to the bottom. "We can put the cloth here, and it will act like a strainer for the water, and catch some of the access particles before the water goes into the cup." I add.

"You're right, that's a really smart idea." She smiles, and it's so beautiful. I would pay a million dollars just to see her smile like that every second of the day. It feels like time pauses when she smiles.

"Everyone put your hands up." A stern, deep voice says.

Of course I jinxed it.

A very angry looking man comes into the room, holding a gun up at all of us, before walking to the teacher and pointing it at her. All of us immediately ducked behind the tables.

"Show me where I can find the dangerous and explosive chemicals." He said as he pressed the gun into the teacher's back.

He wants to make weapons, and explosives. Sh*t. How you gonna solve this Spider-Man? Do something.

All of us have our backs against the tables, and then out of the corner of my eye I see Y/n talking to herself.

"Monday, I'm gonna need you to contact the police." I hear Y/n whisper.

"What are you saying?"

She looks at me seriously, "Whatever you do, don't look back. Just get out of here."

She stands up and raises her hands in the air to show she won't do anything. "Stop!"

Oh my god, she's gonna get herself killed! What is she doing?! Is she crazy?!

He turns to look at her, but keeps the gun on our teacher. "What are you going to do,...girl?" He looks at her, spitting out 'girl' like it's an insult, and by the look in his eyes he looks at her like she's pathetic for trying to save everyone.

She starts to speak in a calm and genuine voice, "Look, take me instead. I can show you where they are, but please... let everyone else go."

The man scoffs, and looks at her like he isn't stupid, "Yeah right, so they can go get the police. I don't think so."

"You'll be gone before anyone can do anything," She states in a calm matter. "I'll show you where they are, and I'll show you where you can find the ways on how to use them. But please. Let. Everyone. Else. Go."

He looks at her and grins and the turns the gun towards her. "Fine, everyone else GET OUT."

Everyone starts running out of the room as I stay behind for a couple seconds longer.

I look up at her, and tap her leg. "No you can't do this Y/n! Are you crazy! I whisper-yell to her.

"Peter please just go!"

"No.."

"Please.... Just trust me."

She looks down determination in her eyes, but I know deep down she is scared.

I know that feeling. I've felt that feeling, only about a thousand times

"O-okay fine. Just please be careful and don't do anything stupid."

I run out of the classroom leaving her behind and then run out of the school. There is still one person that can help her.

Spider-Man.

I go and change in an alleyway and then shoot a web on a nearby building, heading for the school and to Y/n.

"Don't worry Y/n you're not alone. Spider-Man is here to help."

(So I did get enough time to write another one today. I know I left this one off on a cliff-hanger but I feel like books that end with a chapter like this just make it more interesting. Let me know of any ideas you guys have in the comments for future chapters. Hope your enjoying the book so far, and thanks for reading my book. I will be back tomorrow with another one. Love you guys.)
