-----------------Jax POV------------------
I watched this petite brunette woman maybe in her earlier twenties talking to Opie. She got pulled over for drifting, is this bitch insane? She's in Charming, not some high-end drag race city bullshit. She can't just come into this town and start shit like that in front of our garage. I walked over to Opie who was now walking back.
"Who the hell was that?" I demanded.
"Her name's Tessa Dayton. She's new to town, I overheard dickhead talking to her. Bad-ass car," He chuckled and clutched his stomach.
"Yeah well she can't just act like this is some city bullshit where she can get away with shit like that. It's bringing attention in front of our shop. The ATF is already on our ass, and all this cartel shit is just beginning. We don't need some city skank with a rowdy car ruining our business."
"Jax, relax. What the hell has gotten into you? You never talk like this about random women. You don't even know her." He added furiously.
"Man," I started apologetically. "I'm sorry Ope
. She's just bringing unwanted attention. I'm stressed. This shit is getting old, man. This shit with the club. It's too risky. It has me on edge."--------------Tessa POV---------------
I plop down on my bed face down. I just keep thinking about the garage I was pulled over in front of. All of the bikes, the men, the jackets. They read "Sons Of Anarchy" and they all had different patches. I was curious to know more.
I slipped out of my clothes and ran the shower. The warmth of the water and the steam both seemed to soothe and medicate my body, allowing my muscle to loosen and my body to relax. I sighed in relief. Once I was finished I put on a huge t shirt and went straight to bed, making sure to set my alarms and turn on my tv.
As I'm lying down watching TV, a private number calls my phone. My heart drops and I gulp hard, knowing the voice on the other end. I answer.
"Before you say anything, don't even fuckin' bother. You won't find me." Before I knew it, I was screaming the end of the sentence.
"Sweetheart, I see you. You still watch lifetime movies?" He tauntingly said, you could hear the smile stretch from ear to ear as he said my worst fear.
"Ethan, don't you dare come near me. That glock 43 sitting on my end table has just been itchin'." I laughed, hard and deviously.
This motherfucker has it coming. It's been 6 years that I have been living in this hell. I am finally starting new and then he's going to pop up.
The line went dead.
Rushing to get my gun I searched the house, turning corners and opening doors. I had experience with being undercover. I had to be undercover for Ethan, to bust his business and send him away, even though I'm not an actual coo. I got gun training and stealth training. I hopped in my car once it was clear and rode into town, glock in hand.
--------------Jax POV----------------
I decided to go on a night ride. I needed to clear my head. Even porn pussy couldn't lower my levels, and that's saying something. The mountains, I never noticed how they collided with each other, matching like gun shots and bullets in the night sky.
Looking up at the sky, a car blows past me, nearly cutting me off the road. It was fuckin' fast.
I turned around quickly, and started following the car, not too far behind it. The car sped up so I did too. At this point, I was suspicious. Why were they speeding so damn much? Why did they speed up when they saw me?
Mayans.
I sped up, gaining speed, I'm on their ass. They couldn't lose me. Before I knew it, the car was off road, drifting around corners, back onto the dirt, then drifting again.
The car came to a loud halt and so did I. I got off my bike slowly, and headed towards the car. Before I got there, a woman, about 5'3 and petite stepped out quickly.
---------------Tessa POV----------------
"Get the fuck back Ethan, or I swear I'll shoot this motherfucker and then I can add you to my list of bodies." I laughed at the mere thought of Ethan lying in his own pool of blood, drowning without being in water, the crimson liquid resembling his end.
"Whoa there, darling, I'm not Ethan." He shouted as his hands went above his head. This voice wasn't Ethan. I couldn't see the figure completely, but he was tall, and his voice was raspy and low.
"Who the fuck are you? Why are you following me?" I demanded, gun still drawn.
"You almost ran me off the road, I came to tell you that you can't drive for shit. Until I saw you drifting. Impressive." He laughed.
"I don't give a fuck about details and shit, just tell me who you are." I shouted.
"I'm Jax Teller."
