On Earth-44 two happy lovers enjoy their daily video chat, when all that euphoria ends with a tragic incident. On the day of the incident, it was raining and thundering as Y/N looked through her apartment window in her bedroom. Lighting striking random areas. People running around dazed by the weather, others trying to cover themselves from getting drenched in the hard rain water. By having their umbrellas or jackets over their head. Maybe it's a sign of something grim was about to come.

As the storm continued the lovers sat enjoying each other's company. Suddenly lightning struck down and hit a tree on the sidewalk. Lighting it on fire, Y/N rushed to see the commotion outside her apartment window. As she made her way back to tell her man what happened she noticed something strange. There was a black figure standing behind her lover, Miles. She called his name before the call ended.

In a panic state, she rushed to throw on her spider suit and flung herself out her apartment window. Swinging and running as fast as she could to get to Miles. By the time she arrived at his apartment building, she saw a horrendously huge bat creature. The creature was holding Miles by his arms, swinging him forward and back. Y/N shot a web to get up closer, but the closer she got the more it felt like her efforts were in vain. She tried one last time to reach out and just hold her lover, but the creature had released its hold. Lighting strikes every 2 mins, and the rain gets heavier. Y/N panicked and rushed to grab Miles. It was all so much, so overwhelming.

The last thing Miles saw before he touched the pavement was
Spider Nova reaching out for him. Then...Splat.

Miles had hit the pavement, his body limp. Y/N grabbed him, holding him, crying and screaming. She cried and cried, she took off her mask and kissed her lover on his forehead. That tragic day was a day that altered Y/N forever.
