Y/n POV
It was Saturday, and once again Muichiro was coming over to visit me. Every time he came, he would bring along Yuichiro or one of his other friends.
Today, I was hoping F/n could join us, but she said she was too busy.
Zenitsu, on the other hand, was still heartbroken after his breakup with Francine, so I couldn't rely on him for company. Inosuke was busy comforting Zenitsu, so that left me with only one option.
"I guess I'll just ask Origami if she wants to hang out with Muichiro and me," I mused to myself. I had always wondered why Origami's mom had named her 'Origami'.
"Hey, Origin. Can you come hang out with me and Mui?" I messaged her.
"So, I can be the third wheel? No problem!" she replied.
Her response was quick and easy. Origami and I decided to meet up at the park, where she was sitting on a bench, engrossed in playing games on her phone.
"Hi, Origin!" I waved at her, causing her to look up and pocket her phone.
"Hi, so where are we going now?" she asked as she stood up and walked towards me.
"How about we go to that waiting shed?" I suggested, and Origami nodded in agreement.
As we walked, I couldn't help but ask her about the origin of her unique name.
"Origin, why did your mom name you Origami? No offense," I asked curiously.
"Oh, none taken. I've gotten used to people asking me that, Y/n-chan!" she smiled. "Well, my mom and dad had trouble conceiving, so my mom tried the 1000 crane Origami!"
"The 1000 crane Origami?" I felt a bit lost. "Your mom tried that?"
"Yes, my mom made a thousand origami cranes and made a wish for children," Origami explained.
"So, that's why she named you Origami?" I sought confirmation.
"Yes, and I also have a twin brother named Kirigami!" Origami added.
After waiting for a few minutes, Muichiro and his friend got off the bus. As expected, Muichiro had a rose in hand.
As soon as he spotted me, Muichiro came over and hugged me tightly. I couldn't help but feel my cheeks flush, even though this wasn't the first time he had hugged me upon seeing me.
After the hug, Muichiro handed me the rose, to which I mumbled a shy "thank you". Muichiro then turned to his friend.
"This is Yuta, Y/n-chan. He's one of my best friends and also my classmate!" Muichiro introduced Yuta.
"Nice to meet you!" Yuta greeted me warmly, and I returned the smile.
"Oh, and I brought Origami with me, Muichiro. I hope that's okay with you!" I informed him.
"It's more than okay, Y/n-chan. The more, the merrier!" Muichiro assured me.
The four of us headed to the arcade. Once we arrived, we purchased some tokens to play the games. Muichiro stuck close to me, and Origami and Yuta hit it off instantly.
"Are you sure you can shoot the ball into the hoop, Y/n-chan?" Muichiro teased me, a mischievous smirk on his face.
I couldn't help but feel a mix of annoyance and excitement in the pit of my stomach. I was determined to prove him wrong.
"Can you please stop that, Muichiro?" I retorted.
"Not a chance. How about we make a deal?" he shrugged casually.
"What kind of deal?" I questioned, intrigued.
"The deal is, if I get the highest score in this game, I won't just be your suitor, but your boyfriend. Do we have a deal?" he proposed, his smirk growing wider.
"No, that's too much!" I protested.
"I suppose you have a point. How about just a kiss on the cheek?" he smirked, his tone suggesting that he believed he had me cornered.
"Fine. And if you don't get the highest score?" I challenged.
"I'll do all of your homework, Y/n-chan!" he confidently declared.
"Deal!" I exclaimed, trying to hide my excitement.
Muichiro's smirk persisted as he inserted a token and the game began. I watched him intently, eagerly awaiting the results.
