New book, and I'm so excited to write it! You don't have to read the first book to read, but I suggest it. If you would like to the read the first book it's titled, "Potential."
Basketball Season
The lights were beaming.. and all eyes were on him.. sweat trickled down his forehead, and the ball moved from one hand to the other quicker than an average person could. "C'MON BABY YOU GOT THIS?!"
He threw the ball, and it was as if time had stopped... everyone's mouth hung open, and everyone was tuned in. You could hear the buzzer go off as everyone watched the final shot go in. All you heard was "YESSES!" fill the crowd and the crowd go loud. "THATS MY SON?!" He heard as his team ran over hyping him up and yelling his name..
He looked over at the cheerleaders and noticed Kali giving him a straight face and trying not to smile. He chuckled, knowing how her stubborn ass was and turned back to his team.

Kali was just his homegirl, but Kali was Kali. She was one of the finest girls at school, and had always been known as just pretty, but he saw as more than that. People ain't know her or try to get to know her past face view. But Kali was a force to reckoned with.
"What's up Jade?" Kalis girl spoke from beside her as he was walking up. "What's up Sierra," he spoke before turning his attention to Kali. She wore pretty brown skin, and was petite. Her hair was straightened to perfection in a side part, and she wore different shades of brown.
"If it ain't the Jade," she spoke being funny. "Congrats on your game," she spoke as Sierra walked off."And here I was thinking you was hating for a second," he chuckled. "Oh never that, love," she spoke with a smile before hugging him. "You know I'm happy for you. Always. But I told you if you took your mind off the bullshit you had it and I guess you finally listened to your girl?"
"Mm."
"Just admit I was right, no bullshit, you win games?"
"Aight, man, you right," he spoke.
"And say you appreciate me and—
"Aight na you doin too much," he spoke. She laughed, sipping on the punch in her cup. "Whatchu drinkin?"
