JADE

"You mad at me?"
He spoke. She closed her locker, and looked at him. "I could never be mad at you, Jade," she sighed. "I just wanted you to know that my shitty ass dad popped up on the porch last night, that's all."

"You for real?"

"Yeah," she spoke. "I cried about it all last night cause I can't even believe he would do that after all he put momma through, and me. I mean you left. You left and started a brand new family and said fuck me. Said I wasn't even yours but now you wanna talk?" She spoke shaking her head. "But I gotta get to class, you got practice today?"

"Yeah, but I'll hit you and see bout coming over later."

"Okay cool." She started to walk off and he pulled her back giving her a hug. "Everything gone be okay, Kali."

"Yeah I hope so," she mumbled. "I'll see you later, Jade."

He watched her walk off, and saw Nevaeh coming in. He noticed that same truck had dropped her off. "Nay, you good?" He spoke grabbing her arm. She looked up at him with shades on. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be Jade?"

"You fucking wit OG boys now?"

"You need to mind your business Jade and stay outta mine," she spoke. He didn't say shit letting her walk off but all he knew was was they were no good. But anybody could recognize their truck. They were a gang known around Atlanta, that sold drugs. It was three brothers, and he knew Nay had to of been talking to one of them.

"Fuck," she groaned coming down off of the high she was on. She got off of him laying half way on him while grabbing her phone. "You gonna come officially meet my parents today?" She spoke laying her head back on his chest.

"I already met ya people, Cori," he spoke which he did, but as her friend. Now that they were over that shit, and together, she wanted him to be met as her man. "Yes but now you my man, so.."

He chuckled. "Aight if you want me too, I will. I got some shit to handle today."

"Okay but you gone come before I tell my mom?"

"Yeah, I'll be there," he spoke. "Okay," she spoke reaching up and pecking his lips. She looked around his bedroom that she had been too plenty times but since they had been into it she hadn't been over here for a good month. "Who redecorated?"

"Ma came through," he spoke.

"Oh," she spoke simply. "Oh, why you say it like dat?"

"Your mom don't like me, me and you both know that."

"That ain't true, Cori, you know dat."

"Okay Avant," she spoke softly, not wanting to get into it. Bhailees name went across her screen and she picked up. "Hey bitch, your location been off. Where you been at?"

"Girl I'm about to pull up at the apartment now to get my stuff. You still coming?"

"...uh, I forgot, I can get up real—
