"So, how is the subject doing?" The sliding metal doors to the lab slid open and closed behind the head scientist, Dr. Lornan, as he entered the room. "Have you made any progress? How about th-"
"Sir, I've done it! It worked, Xan is breathing - look!" Lisa jumped from her seat and put her ear to Xan's mouth. She grabbed Dr. Lornan's hand and placed it over the test subject's chest, to feel the now beating heart. Dr. Lornan's grey eyes opened wider than one would think possible.
"... W-well, we, um, yes! We must inform the captain immediately!" Despite what he said, the two just stood there and took in the sight of the subject, breathing.
