The original title of this story was "Fall Prey To The Weather In a Beautiful World."

I chose this title because I invisioned the late 80s era Thom to be the main character of my story. A scavenger scrapyard boy with raggedly cut strawberry blonde hair, always with a worn-out rucksack, never with shoes of any kind (impractical, I know).

He would eventually write the song creep, of course - but this time not about a college girl.

I didn't have a suitable title that fit with the theme of the story, so as I rewrote creep, I realised that line was perfect.

Or so I thought.

See, as of writing this, I have just listened to the April 28th performance of Daydreaming live in Lima. You can find it on YouTube, but I have linked the full live set here.

While I listened and tried to fall asleep (as I have for the past 20 days) I was struck with an epiphany. "Daydreaming" was the perfect name for this story.

It's quite self-explanatory to those who have already read this as to why; there's not much character building as much as there is worldbuilding up until the last chapter, which I will not spoil.

Enjoy, or don't. No pressure :D
