Mystery on the Farm - family vanish into the night. Latest details:
Baffled locals question what caused the sudden disappearance of their friends and colleagues; four members of the Maccew family who were, by all accounts a normal, hard-working group of people.
Sally (56), and husband Don (60) had recently given up their longtime 9-5 jobs to run their lifestyle block. Don frequently fixed and sold tools at a nearby opshop, Sally making a name for herself as a talented ceramicist and helpful neighbour. They have three successful children; twins Gwen and Audrey, and the eldest daughter who wishes not to be named.
But with only the warning of an untraceable phone call at 12:00am Monday night, Sally, Don, Audrey, and Gwen hopped into a silver vehicle and fled less than 5 minutes later. Their eldest daughter was left behind and has been understandably distraught, and confused.
'I don't know anything. It was a perfectly happy day full of normal activities. I am very worried, I have no idea where they are.' She states.
Police investigations have turned up no trace of the family, although have Gwen and Audrey's mobile phones, bank cards and driver licenses which were handed in by a teen who'd found them on the side of the road, Tuesday morning.
We are appealing for information on the car they left in, described as a silver sedan in good condition. It pulled up to the house from the east of Abrahm Road, heading west after the four family members entered.
