Ochaco POV

The flames were outed, but there wasn't any sign of mom, "W-where is she?" I asked pulling on Apollyon's arm, "Her heart no long beats," they said making me freeze

"Her soul is gone," he said as I fell on my knees, "this, this can't be happening," I muttered, covering my face

"She's bound to the underworld, can't we just go down there and see her?" I heard Keigo ask, "we can't," I said standing up

"When the person you once knew is dead, you no longer have a link to the underworld," I said wiping my eyes, "she is correct. Y/N taught you well," Apollyon said shaking their head

Hades POV

"What do I do?" I asked frantically, "prepare a bath of dragon's blood, it's the only thing that can heal her wounds," Nemrah said as I carried Y/N in my arms

5 minutes ago

"RIP THE PORTAL APART!" She shouted as I held onto the sides of the portal and ripped it, "here, you'll burn," she said holding up one of her concoctions

"I'll be fine," I said stepping through. These flames were horrific and terrifying for a mortal, but it was okay for me

"Shhh baby it's okay I have you," I said bending down and she immediately clung to me, "i-it burns," she cried into my arm, "I'm so sorry," I said lifting her up

The flames covered me as I walked back through the portal

I can't let Ochaco see her like this

I communicated with Apollyon through my mind, telling him to lie. Give them the news that Y/N's soul is gone, like she's dead

With the recovery she'll need, it will basically be like she is

Present

"Lady Y/N," I heard a small gasp making me look to see Iris on my heels, "Iris, bring buckets of dragon's blood, I have some in my office," I said laying her down in the bath

"I-It hurts," she clutched to my sleeve, "it hurts too much Hades I can't do this," she cried, but even that was evidently painful

"I know my love, I know," I said kissing her lips repeatedly, "drink this, it will numb the pain," Nemrah said putting down a spoon and brought the bowl to Y/N lips, making her drink

"What is that?" I asked, "it's Mugwort, yarrow
and-" "Chamomile," Y/N croaked, "I read it in one of your books," she said with a slight smile, making Nemrah's eyes slightly well up with tears

"You burn for me? I didn't think literally," I joked making her smile, "yeah well, it needed to be done," she sighed resting her head back

Her body was still burnt and covered in blood, but she was speaking fine so it obviously worked

Even like this, she was still the most beautiful woman I've ever seen

"I met my father," she chuckled, "you were quite attractive as a teen," she smiled making me chuckle, "you calling me ugly?" I asked, "maybe," she hummed evidently getting tired

"I wanted to apologize for what happened
Y/N-" "it's fine, you were taken advantage of Hades, you couldn't stop it and I'm sorry that happened to you," she said closing her eyes

"What happened?" I asked, looking at her still holding my hand, "that mixture also allows her to sleep so we can work on her wounds," she said getting a bucket of water

"That man did an awful thing to her scalp," she muttered wiping Y/N's face with the water, "what was Zephyra talking about? Who took advantage of you?" She asked
