In shadows cast by sorrow's heavy veil,
A story of a friend whose light did pale.
Gone too soon, a soul we dearly knew,
Lost to battles waged within, unseen and true.
A heart once full of laughter's gentle grace,
Now silenced in a realm no one can trace.
A friend, a confidant, now slipped away,
Leaving questions in the wake of each new day.
Let us not forget the pain they bore,
A struggle hidden behind a closed door.
Mental tides that surged and ebbed unseen,
A battle fought within, a silent scream.
Let not their passing be in vain,
Let their memory ignite a vital flame.
For in their loss, let us all unite,
To raise awareness, let compassion take flight.
Let's speak of mental health without reserve,
To ease the pain that many hearts preserve.
To lend a hand, an ear, a caring heart,
To be a friend when life's paths drift apart.
In memory of our friend, let us stand strong,
To break the stigma, show where we belong.
No more shadows, no more hidden plight,
Together we can bring mental health to light.
Reach out, dear friend, if darkness clouds your soul,
You're not alone; your story makes you whole.
In unity, we find the strength to heal,
To honor those we've lost and what they feel.
So let this poem be a heartfelt plea,
For empathy, for love, for unity.
In memory of a dearly close friend who we lost,
Let's bring awareness to the light of day.
