News on prowler (this is a chapter)

Your alarm went off, and you woke up and clicked the button to stop it from going off any longer. You groaned in annoyance and got out of bed. You walked to your closet and got your uniform out, and changed into it. You went to your bathroom and brushed your teeth and did your skin care routine and then brushed your hair and put it into two high buns.

You walked out of your room and went to the kitchen. "Well, good morning sunshine. Don't you look peachy." Kayden teased with a smirk. "Shut up and just take me to school already." You said tiredly and grabbed a strawberry nutrigrain bar. "Fine, fine." kayden said and ruffled your hair, but not too much to mess it up. You and kayden walked out of your apartment and used the elevator and went to his motorcycle and left for your school.

You two arrived at your school, and you got off his motorcycle. "See ya have fun. Stay away from the guys." Kayden said while driving away. You let out a little laugh at his dumb words. "Y/N!" Harper yelled and ran towards you, engulfing you into a hug. "Seriously, Harper." You said with a raised eyebrow and smile. "Yeah, you didn't answer my text last night. I asked you if we could hang out, and you straight up ignored me." Harper pouted and let go of you grabbing your arm, dragging you into the school. "Sorry, my family was invited by our neighbors to have dinner with them and I forgot my phone in my room." You said and chuckled nervously.

You two continued walking to your locker. "Alright, fine, you got lucky this time, but did you hear the news about the prowler?" Harper asked curiously. "No, why. Did he do something again?" You asked her a little bit confused. "Yeah, he attacked another medicine truck." Harper answered. "Oh, that's why you asked me to hang out with you." You mumbled, and Harper nodded, giving you a 'duh' face. You huffed in a pout. "Sorry." you mumbled and headed off to class with harper.

The classes went by really quickly, and the day was boring as always. Some of the students talking about the prowler, others talking with their friends, some doing their homework, and others just looking straight up menacing. You and Harper walked to the school's front door to leave. Your phone dinged and showed a message from Kayden saying: "Sorry, i can't pick you up from school. I am busy, sorry, but you have to find a different way home today😜." You froze in place, looking at your phone jaw dropped.

"Hey, what's wrong? Who texted you?" Harper asked you curiously, a little bit concerned. "Kayden is who. He straight up abandoned me. He said that he couldn't pick me up today since he was busy. Like bro, you don't have a job or friends, how could you be busy?!" You complained angrily. Harper laughed. "You just roasted the poor guy. Well, you could just walk home with me and chill at my house for a little bit." Harper said with a smile, her laugh fading out.

"I know I did, and I don't feel bad. Let's just go to your house and chill out. I don't want to deal with people any longer than I already have to." You joked with a proud smile. You and Harper laughed. "Same girl, same." Harper agreed, and you two walked out of the school walking on the sidewalk to her house. You two laughed and joked about random things while walking to her house.

You two heard a woman yell. "He stole my bag! Somebody help!" You and harper looked at each other and then immediately caught the guy, and harper pinned the guy to the floor, and you got the woman's bag back and handed it to her. "Here you go, ma'am." You said with a smile. "Thank you so much. It's nice to know that we have some teens with human decency." the woman said with a snarky smile and walked away. She had the karen haircut and everything.

You looked back at Harper and the guy on the floor. "Just let him go, I would say he was actually doing something good. She seemed like a karen." You joked, and Harper let him go, and the guy spirited away. "Facts." Harper agreed, and you two continued walking to her house, talking about random things.

You two arrived at a hotel. "Harper, are you seriously living in a hotel?" You asked her with a suspicious glare. "Okay, I am mainly only because I forgot to bring enough money to afford the rent for the place that I wanted to buy, and Jay has not moved here yet he was busy with work." Harper defended herself, and you two walked into the hotel and went to the elevator, and she clicked the top floor button.

"Did you seriously buy the penthouse?" You asked her with a raised eyebrow. "Yes, I did. I wanted to be comfortable and enjoy the peace of living alone for once." Harper said proudly, and you just rolled your eyes. You two arrived on her floor, she unlocked her door, and you two walked in. You took one look at it. "Rich people vibes." You mumbled and flopped down onto her couch. Harper giggled and sat down next to you, and you two started to watch youtube videos and movies on her tv while eating some of the snacks that harper bought.
