Matt, Chris, Nick and Lori were sitting in the car and just kind of driving around. They were listening to Nick's music.

"Lori do you want to play some music? we realized yesterday that we never listen to your music" said Chris and turned to Lori in the back.

She laughed. "I can't do that, I don't have my music on my phone." She explained. Nick and Chris turned to her in shock, Matt would have done the same if he hadn't been driving.

"How do you not have your music on your phone?" Matt asked, looking at her through the rearview mirror.

"I have it on CDs."
"How do you listen to music?" asked Chris.

"How do you think, Chris? With a CD player." "It's 2020, why are you still listening to CDs?" asked Nick.

"It's got that vibe, imagine your partner making you a mix tape." She said and looked unobtrusively at chris.

"Next time bring one of your CDs, I have a player in my radio" said Matt. " I will." She said and that was the end of the topic.

Christmas came sooner than we thought and we spent it with the Sturniolos. It was beautiful and I felt like I was home.

My mother had asked if I wanted to come to her. I wanted to cancel completely but she was still my mother, even if it was not all easy between us. So I agreed to come over for 3 days between Christmas and New Year.

The gifts from me were well received, Nick got a tshirt from me where it said 'your boyfriend loves me', Matt got his favorite pokemon as a stuffed animal and chris I gave a self-painted protaint of him and his brothers. "I want one too." Said Nick.

Matt gave me socks with Chris' faces on them, Nick gave me a new pen set that I had wanted, and when Chris gave me his gift, I got nervous.

He gave it to me in a quiet moment when everyone else was busy.
"I hope you like it, otherwise you're out of luck." He said also kind of nervously.

I took out a thin four-sided box from the bag. I looked at it and there was a CD inside with the title 'your mixtape'.

I looked at him excitedly. "You remember." I whispered and hugged him with so much force that he almost fell over.

"Of course, how could I forget that in 2020 you still listen to your music on CD." He said.
"In 2022 I'm still doing it." I said and we broke away. "Can't wait to hear it."

The next day my four grandparents came, no one mentioned my mom, which was fine with me because otherwise there would have been a fight between my dad and my mom's parents.

The next day I met Jeremy, we had met twice since our date and we got along really well. He brought me flowers and I felt bad that I didn't have anything for him but he wasn't mad he said it was overrated.

"You could give me a kiss" he said and I looked at him. I laughed, "You're really smart." I said and put my arms around his neck and looked into his dark brown eyes.

I don't know what I was looking for in his eyes, but no matter what it was, I couldn't find it. Then I leaned in and kissed him. It was a long warm kiss and it was good, but something just didn't feel right. I blamed it on the fact that it was still new for me to kiss someone else.

"That was the best gift you could have given me." He said and smiled.
"Then wait and see what else is in the coming months for you."

The day after I flew to my mom. I was nervous and knew there would be a fight. When I saw her at the airport she waved at me happily.
