Loureline came home from school early because she was not feeling well. Her father was at work but her mother was at home.

She came in the front door and immediately noticed men's shoes that did not belong to her father. She thought that this could not be, her mother would never cheat on her father. She just assumed that her father had bought new shoes.

But then she stepped into the living room and smelled men's perfume, which was definitely not her father's smell.

"Mom?" Lori screamed. She got no answer. She ran towards the bedroom and when she was almost to her parents' room, her mother came out, dressed only in a bathrobe.

Her blonde hair was disheveled and her makeup was smeared. When her mother looked at her, she recoiled. Lori looked at her with a shocked face.

"Why are you home already?" Taylor, her mother, asked to cover up her mistake.
"Mom, who's in there?"
"No one."
"Don't lie to me."
"There's no one in there."
"Okay then, I can go in." Said lourline and went to the door. "No," said her mother, but it was too late, she was already standing in the doorway.

In the bed was a man she had never seen before, half dressed and looking at Lori in surprise.

"Honey, I can explain." Said her mother as she ran into the living room after Lori.
"Yeah, Mom, so can I, you're cheating on dad." "It's not like that."
"Then what is it like?"
"I love him." Said her mother.
"THAT'S NO EXCUSE"

Her mother and she looked into each other's eyes.
"For how long?"
"For how long what?"
"Have you been cheating on my father?"
"It doesn't matter."
"No, Mom, it does, for how long?"

"Three years," her mother confessed, looking down sadly.
"THREE YEARS!" cried Lori, she could hardly believe it. "But-" Lori put one and one together.

"Did he move here for you?" she asked. Her mother shook her head slightly.
"Oh my god, we moved here for him, didn't we?" Lori was right.

"Lori, try to understand."
"You fucking egotist, for you dad and I changed our lives completely, we moved here, left our friends, I LEFT THE LOVE OF MY LIFE FOR YOU TO FUCK YOUR LOVER!"

Her mother began to cry.
"Honey, you don't understand-"
"No, I don't understand. And if you think I'm keeping this to myself, you're wrong."

The same day she told her father, who was completely broken. A month later he filed for divorce.

It had been a week since me and Chris had yelled at each other, we had been avoiding each other and when we were near we were cursing at each other.

On Friday I came from school, I looked in the post box and saw that there was a letter for me inside.

I went into the house and called for my dad, he was not there, he was working.
I sat down at the dining room table and opened the letter and what I got out shocked me.
Wedding invitation

I looked at the card and couldn't believe what I was looking at. She couldn't be serious. If my father found out, his heart would break.

He had always loved my mother, he had even told her he would forgive her if she ended it with Miguel right away but she decided against her family. She said she didn't love my father anymore and that Miguel was the love of her life.
I read her invitation, the wedding was to take place in half a year. But there was something else for me on the back page.
