John; or what i love to call, pops. Don't get me wrong, that nickname i had been calling him is i call when i was soo young.
He had been my babysitter when i was 7, and he's 17. I'm now 18.
Not trying to fight the fate but, i can take care of myself in the age! I need no baby sitter. But trust me though, even if i dont need it now; John still treats me like a kid. He'd sometimes call me kiddo or 'lil bird. But now, it's been a while since ive last seen him.
Last time i met him once when i was 14; i was at Liverpool, with me mam. But now i move to NYC (New York City). I've found a job where people on the 20s use to find one.
I work as a barista in a small little cafe. I; with my mate, George who's currently a waiter right now. We've been friends for a half of year now, i kind of have a small crush on George. But that was in the past, he'd now, have a girl friend named 'Lucy'. And Lucy's our manager too, by the way. She and George run the little cafe; and invite me to helped me make their cafe the best's place in New York. I have an experience of being a barista before. So i reckon that this place will be the best one, one day. Just one day.
Lately, our cafe got into a lot of customers. And i assume it's a miracle happending here. Lucy is not like those typical of a strict manager, she didn't really want to put me and George in pressure; as she sometimes helped us too. She had a taste on cooking. And i bet George would agree too, our outfit for work is kind of simple. Maybe fancy?
She said that she wanted this cafe to be like a minimalistic cafe but elegant. So she gave us a pair of red bow tie and a black vest. The inner shirt/t-shirt if our picks. So i'm comfy to be working on with her and George.
George; George is a nice lad. He is quiet, but believe me. If you knew him longer, he is the most person i know with such a big mouth. What i mean; talk so much. I enjoyed hearing his stories too, it's fun to listen during our free time.
George got the sharpest teeths ive seen. Like a vampire, y'know? He got a beautiful jaw line. And his long detailed-eyelashes, his plump sharp mouth. He's the boy; a girl could dream of.

Anyway, enough of the stories. Back to the reality. I was cleaning the counter, it was a sweet mornin', George was in the back room with Lucy. She'd planned to add more workers if the cafe became big. I was humming a song by Buddy Holly, swingin' my hips as i sway with my hands and legs. I really enjoyed dancing; it's a fun thing to do when my favorite song, or at least a happy hick song pops out.
I could hear the foot steps of people at the outside. The sound of the car noises was trembling on my ears, as i didn't pay attention to the front door being open. The bell rings.
I stopped on what i was doing and looked at the strange and tall figure, he look so odd. So familliar.
"Oh hello sir, welcome to the cafe. How may i helped you with?" I say, rather in a loud voice.
I could feel George's head peeking out a little from the voice i made.
"Hi 'lil bird, do ye have a cappucino?" The tall man asked, his voice was raspy and deep. Not too deep. But that nickname? It feels so familliar to me. I lift my head up to see the guy's face as my eyes widened.
"Pops!?" I shouted, making my friends from behind came to the front place. Shocked of the shouting i suddenly do. "Ritchie, hello, love bug." He said, giving me a small wave. Holy molly, he is so goddamn hot-- That beautiful pointy nose of him, i use to call it a wizard nose. Heh. Funny ol' days.
"W- how? When-" my voice was cracking from the old figure i use to spend time with; the person i use to hug, play with, and the person who use to tuck me to the bed and tell me bedtime stories before i fell asleep onto his big, rough, hands around me.
"Hush, no question, kiddo." He put his finger on my lip; signalling me to tape my mouth out. I slighty nodded and remain calm.
I was still nervous, it's been so long since i seen him. He is so much taller now. And a medium-length aburn hair he have, his voice was soothing, gentle; and especially, hot!
Enough with the simping Ritchie, this is your baby sitter. You cannot like him, there's probably a 10 years old of our age gap. He'd probably think i'm a weirdo to like him.

We went to sat down to the nearest seat beside the counter. I made two cappucino coffee for both of us, he got a golden-roundy glasses; sitting gently on the center of his nose. I cannot stop looking at those dark brown eyes. Those beautiful eye; i might lost into those before i could even realize it. There was a long-awkward silence between the two of us before my work mate, George, approach us.
"Bonjour, my peoples," he said in a funny-old dude voice. I caught myself staring at the fake moutache he is wearing. Where the heck did he even find it?
I heard a small laugh coming from John, as i glance at him. He had the cutest and goofy laugh i heard.
"Good morning to you too, my guy." John replied, George response with a goof smile.
"So, any food to orders? Or would you like my recommendation?" He asked, John bend down to look at the menu while i kept staring at him awkwardly. I was wordless. George noticed it as he bump my head, causing me to snap back.
"Are you guys are on a date?" He whispered through my ear. I shook my head and whispered back, "no, just a; reunion." I say; leaning back on the chair. George nod and smile. As John is finally finish reading the menu. "I'd like to order a pasta. What about you, Ritchie?" He glare at me. I slighty blushed and stutter. "U-uhm. S-same as you." I said nervously, he smile and look at George.
"That's all, and id like to pay. Its my treat after all." John added,
George only nod and grins at me before walking to the kitchen. Leaving the two of us alone, i cannot stop staring into his dark brown eyes. Oh lord, i think im in love.
