CW: BLOOD AND GORE
I watched as the vampire hunters moved through the church with their radiant auras, but I also noticed a certain unease at their presence. I felt a strange mixture of hope and fear as they worked their way towards Meryl and her friends, but I felt even more uneasy as I realized what they were about to do.
They were getting ready to attack them without provocation, and I knew that I had to do something to stop them. I didn't want to hurt the vampire hunters, but I couldn't stand the idea of them killing Meryl and her friends either.
I was stunned into silence as Meryl and Finn went at each other in a fight, with their blades flying back and forth as they blocked each other's attacks. The others had begun to fight the vampire hunters, and I could feel the chaos and violence of the battle around me.
It was all happening so quickly, and I felt my stomach sink as I saw more and more blood spill across the floor. I was frozen in horror as the fight escalated, and I could see that some of the others were starting to go down, including Ruby.
At one point during the fight, Cameron walked up to Emerie and grabbed her by the arms. I was horrified by what happened next, as he suddenly yanked her arms out of their sockets with brutal strength. Black blood splattered everywhere, and Emerie cried out in pain as she saw her arms ripped away from her body.
Prudence stood nearby, grabbing Juniper by the throat with both hands. The force of his grip was enough to cause Juniper to struggle for air, and she tried in vain to pry his hands away from her.
Kale's eyes turned red with rage and fury as he watched Cameron rip off Emerie's arms and laughed in sheer delight. He roared and rushed towards Cameron, digging his claws into Cameron's face and scratching out one of his eyes with all of his strength.
Emerie cried out in pain at the loss of her arms, but slowly, I could see the flesh and bones begin to regenerate in her empty sleeves. She was still unable to move, but the healing process was gradually starting to take place.
Kale and Cameron were now brawling it out in a deadly battle, with their claws, weapons, and teeth ripping into each other's flesh. The ground was soon littered with gore as the two struggled for dominance.
Nearby, Prudence was kicked in the stomach by Juniper and went sprawling to the ground. As he tried to get to his feet, Adam jumped in and began scratching Prudence's back with his claws, tearing through his clothes and drawing blood.
Finn and Meryl were facing off in a tense standoff, with their weapons and defenses raised and locked together in a battle of wills. Finn had his iron blade, whilst Meryl had her claws and teeth. Finn had a cold look in his eyes, and his voice was filled with rage when he spoke to Meryl.
"I've been looking for you for a long time, Meryl," Finn said through clenched teeth, "and now I finally get to kill you."
Meryl said nothing in response, but I could see that there was a mixture of sadness and resignation in her expression.
I was focused on the battle between Finn and Meryl, as I watched them weave their hits back and forth in a deadly game of cat and mouse. I tried my very hardest to untie myself from the ropes, but I could feel the tension of the bindings slowly cutting into my flesh. I could also see the vampires and the human hunters engaging in combat all around me, the blood and gore covering the floor and furniture in the church. It was a bloody and chaotic scene, and I knew that if I didn't do something now, this battle would eventually consume me as well.
All around me, the vampires and human hunters were either passed out or slowly regenerating their wounds in silence. No one seemed to notice Finn and Meryl's battle, except for me. I watched as Meryl began to choke Finn, her hands gripping tighter and tighter around his neck. Finn was clearly struggling to breathe, and his eyes were filled with fear as he tried to break free, but he was quickly losing strength.
