Alex waved bye to Jack as the two split up into different houses. Once the door closed behind Jack he got a text message.
Alex: Hello U '꓃ ' U
Jack: Hi. Silly lil emote you have there
Alex: Yeah I've been told I use them too much ('°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥｀)
Alex: I can not use them if you want
Jack: No no please do it's very cute
Alex put his phone down and blushed slightly. He usually gets told to stop using them not that it's cute that he uses them. Picking the phone back up he messages Jack back
Alex: You're just saying that
Jack: Nope
Jack: Out of curiosity where did you find that?
Alex: I downloaded an app if I remember correctly either that or they were on my phone already 乁| ･ 〰 ･ |ㄏ
Jack: Time to search my phone then brb
Alex: Okay then have fun I guess? (๑•﹏•)
With that, Alex picked up a book and started to read it waiting for Jack. Being the first day of school neither had homework. But after a few minutes he got bored and decided to start writing a song like he does sometimes. Before he knew it Jack messaged him back. Not waiting to put the lyrics down but the excitement of messaging his first new friend at this school was a little bit overpowering compared to writing lyrics so he finished what line he was on and picked his phone up.
Jack: I couldn't find it sadly. No fair you get to have all the fun >:(
Alex: Just get better (ृ˄·͈༝·͈˄ ृ )
Jack: Alright meany pants and to think I was going to invite you over this weekend
Alex paused for a second. I didn't think we were good enough friends for that yet, he thought before responding.
Alex: Oh great beautiful Jack I humbly apologize got being such a means pants ಥ‿ಥ
Jack: Beautiful? fine apology accepted at least you didn't call me ugly like Zack did last week when apologizing
Alex: Smh he should know you gotta butter the person up first then call them ugly after they accept the apology ಠ_ಠ
Jack: ......
Jack: I'm going now bye
Alex: No come back! .·'¯'(>▂<)'¯'·.
Alex: Oh wait nvm I need to eat how long did you leave for searching tf? (●__●)
Jack: Hours dude. Hours
Alex rolled his eyes and threw his phone down on his bed before going downstairs to find something to snack on before the others got home. Sitting there Alex remembered how pissed he was when his parents moved him from England to here during the summer. How he refused to go to school this morning. He smiled slightly and noted to thank his mum when she got home for forcefully taking him and making sure he went in.
Jack on the other hand put his phone down and put his headphones on to play his guitar. Not knowing what to play and tired of playing Blink he remembered a friend saying Indie was hard to play so he tried to ay Death Cab for Cutie to prove it wasn't hard. Jack had been practising for God knows how long before he heard a yell of "Dinner!" Jack sat down everything on his stand knowing he'd have to detangle everything next time he decided to play which is awful but it's his own fault for not being neat. Sitting down for dinner Jack wouldn't stop talking about Alex and how cool he was and Alex did the same thing as Jack when he had dinner.
Alex's mum smiled, "Are you glad I forced you to go to school now?"
Alex nodded, "Yeah! I really thought it would be horrible like all the kids talked about that came from here but it seems amazing!"
