When my father brought me home I would never think it would be a place like Asgard. My mother had me alone and raised me until the day she died.

The day after my village had the pyre set a blaze for the ceremonial funeral, the heavens opened and Odin had found me. He retold the story of how he met my mother, it was quite weird if I am being honest. And told me if I were to live with a family, I would go with him back to Asgard. I happily accepted.

Life on Asgard has been better than I have ever expected. The lavish palace and the people adored me and my skills. I always had the ability to talk to animals and have control of the natural elements.

Frigga always knew the day of me coming here was inevitable and she was accepting of me. My brother Thor, the god of thunder, became my best friend almost immediately. Our gifts worked well when we worked together. But Loki, the god of mischief, there was always a thing about him that held a resentment towards me, and I could have never known why.

I was in the library one day and I stumbled across a book that looked older than Odin. I was curious and uncovered secrets that should probably stay hidden for now. My thoughts got the better of me the next time I saw father.

"Father, may I have a word. In private," I asked, very politely.

"You certainly can, Lillian. Come with me," Odin said, directing me to a barren balcony. "What has been on your mind, little one?"

"Well, I found a book yesterday in the library and it said something about a first born daughter and an adoptive brother. I was only curious about who they are."

He let out a deep sigh. "Your mind is but a curious one. If I share this with you, you must keep this to yourself and not tell a soul."

I nodded my head and let him continue.

"There is my first born, Hela. She was all too consumed in taking over the nine realms for herself. She was too far gone. I have her locked away in Helheim. She can only leave the place when I pass on into Valhalla. And as for the brother, it is Loki. He was abandoned by the frost giants of Jotunheim. I brought him here and raised him like my own thinking we could make peace with the nine realms one day through him."

It was a lot to take in but I knew that I could keep the secrets for the rest of my, or his life. Whichever one came first. "Thank you father. You have my word until the days come."

The years had gone by as Thor, Loki and I grew up alongside another. The boys would do their own thing from time to time and had adventures of their own. But every year on my mothers death day, I would bring Thor with me to celebrate her short lived life. But after a hundred Midgard years the village where I used to grow up had forgotten about her and the celebrations stopped. That was a year where I had created the worst weather imaginable. A big whoopsie from my part.

When father asked me to bring the blue cube he called the Tesseract down to Midgard with him and store it somewhere for safe keeping, I obliged. He had put it in what looked like a place to worship the gods. No one would ever expect him to put something there.

"Lillian, I will need you to come down here regularly to make sure it stays where I placed it. Can you do that for me," Odin said.

"Sure can, Father. How much is regular?"

"You will be staying here, on Midgard," he said, turning to me. "Not to worry, little one, your abilities thrive here and you should not be afraid of dying. You will age as you did on Asgard."

"Why can I not stay in Asgard, father? This is unfair. I thought you would have wanted me to stay where I truly belong." I was close to tears, a major storm could ensue from this.
