Chapter 7

"Ahhhh!!! Yall did what??!!" That was the expected reaction of Blaze after Amy had told her of her and Sonic's little "reunion". "I can't believe it," she continued still pacing around Amy's room "So you saved four pricks from being pulverized by Sonic's wrath, then y'all kissed, thrice?!" Amy rolled her eyes at her bestie's made up word."And then he admitted his undying love for you," Blaze paused mid sentence and as if suddenly realizing something,"Did you ever think that maybe Sonic was lying to you, you know trying to mess with your head?" That seemed to do it for Amy because she abruptly stood up and narrowed her eyes at Blaze.
"No," she answered simply, Blaze only shrugged mumbling about how it was only a thought before Amy continued," You didn't see the serenity in his eyes. And the way he kissed me, ughhh, with those perfectly plump lips of his." She was soon snapped out of her dreamy state when she caught sight of Blaze making kissy noises."shut up," Amy mumbled whilst throwing a pillow at her silly best friend.They then just stared at each other before they both burst into a fit of laughter. After their laughter died down, Blaze's mood suddenly turned serious.
"So what are you going to tell Bryce?" she had said his name with revulsion, because after she had told Amy about the rumors spreading that he had been sleeping around with the town hoe, Sally Acorn, she definitely took a disliking to the guy.
"I'm not going to tell him anything," Amy replied calmly, standing up and stretching, ignoring Blaze's slight insult to her boyfriend. Bryce had told her that it was all a lie and that he just had some old ex-girlfriends who were spreading the rumors and simply couldn't "let go" of the fact that he's taken, and that the jealous hoes were tryna sabotage their beautiful relationship. So of course she believed his story. "Everything will just go back to normal, except that now me and Sonic are friends whojusthappentoloveeachother." She spoke quickly before Blaze could comment. "Now come on, I told you everything, but I invited you over here so that we could have a girls day! I'm sick and tired of guys right now." And so with that Amy dragged a still semi-shocked Blaze out the door.

What an interesting ceiling, Sonic thought whilst laying in his bed with his sexy eight pack on display , and what an interesting night it had been a few days ago, he also thought with a smirk. A certain beautiful pink hedgehog had been haunting his dreams and thoughts since the night she had come to the rescue of those pricks, and they had kissed. He groaned at the thought of her plump pink lips back on his, where they belong, he thought smugly. But now they're probably on his he thought with a slight growl rumbling through his body. He pushed the thoughts of his newfound love interest away, and decided to focus on getting his ass out of bed because he had some unfinished business to take care of.
You see, everyday after school and on the weekend since that eventful night with Amy he had been training like crazy, with Tails, preparing for the day when Eggman decided to step foot onto this town again, for it would be his last.
So he was currently getting ready to meet Tails at the gym right now. Putting on a pair of black joggers, a white tank, his black and white hoody, his Nike slides and grabbing his workout duffle bag, he was out the door.
Right upon his arrival Tails had himself and Sonic training their asses off and sweating bullets.
"Water.. break" Sonic spoke breathlessly whilst heading toward the water fountain.
"Hey.. you know I heard that.. Eggman would be acting out his takeover of this town tomorrow.. so that's why I had us do all the hard core training right now." Tails said "But quite honestly I think that you're going to be fine and beat the shit out of Eggy because with your new found friendship with Amy you are a lot more focused. Let's just head up to the arcade and call it a day." Tails continued whilst patting Sonic's sweaty back and turning around to go retrieve all his training gear and equipment.
Sonic just stood staring at his friend in shock. Tomorrow... Eggy's last time in this village will be tomorrow.. shit. And with those thoughts he pulled out his phone and dialed up Amy's number, he had gotten it when they spent time at the park yesterday, he smiled at the thought.
**yesterday**
Sonic was strolling through the park taking a short cut to meet back up at the gym with Tails when he heard sniffling. But not just any sniffling, a girl sniffling. His thoughts were confirmed when he followed the sound and caught sight of a silently sobbing Amy sitting on one of the parks most isolated benches that was surrounded by bushes. Sonic never fully understood why the hell this bench was even put here but he ignored the thought as he approached the upset pink hedgehog.
"Amy?" He reached out and touched her shoulder feeling the pleasurable shocks shoot up his arm again. She jumped slightly, obviously too lost in her thoughts to notice him approach her.
"Oh, hey Sonic," she answered whilst quickly trying to wipe away all traces of her crying, including her tears. But Sonic beat her too it, crouching down in front of her and wiping away all remaining tears from her face. She simply stared at him, shocked and in awe by the gentleness of his actions.
"Wanna talk about it?" He asked her whilst getting up and sitting next to her on the bench, close enough so that their knees were touching.
"There's nothing to even talk about," she told him sadly, "Bryce and I just got into a heated argument about something so stupid" Sonic visually stiffened.
"He didn't... hit you ...right?" His blood began to boil at the thought of anyone laying a finger on that pretty little head of hers.
"Oh no! Of course not." She replied reassuringly.
"Good" Sonic answered back," Because I would hate to be the cause of your precious little boyfriends untimely death," he said honestly, earning a fit of giggles from Amy. Oh how I love that sound, Sonic sighed internally. They then spent about an hour or two talking and laughing as he pushed her up and down on the swings and bought her ice cream.
"Higher Sonic, higher!" Amy screamed whilst giggling like a mad woman. But Sonic wasn't complaining, and he didn't dare try to hide the smile that formed on his lips from her contagious emotion. But that all quickly ended when he received an earful from Tails about how he was going to double up on the exercises due to Sonic being late asf. So Amy jumped off the swing landing perfectly onto the ground as Sonic went to go retrieve his workout things.
"So I'll see you tomorrow?" Amy asked a bit disappointed that her time with Sonic had to end.
"Definitely," he replied whilst spreading his arms out gesturing she hug him, and she did, and it lasted a bit longer than the normal friendly hug should've, but neither one of them was complaining.
When they broke apart he reached down and kissed her forehead after whispering in her ear " Don't hesitate to come talk to me when you need to." then stuffing his number into her hand before walking away towards the gym.
**end flashback**
Whilst waiting for her to pick up the phone, Sonic recalled her calling him last night and telling him that this was her number and such.
Shit, he thought as the phone call went to voicemail. "Hey Amy," he spoke into the phone, " I was just calling to ask whether or not you m-might want to go to the movies sometime tomorrow evening. Y-you know as friends? Umm, call me back when you get the chance. K bye." He quickly hung up the phone just in case he stuttered again. He pinched the bridge of his nose before turning around, only to be met with a smirking Tails, who began to make whipping noises with his mouth.
"Shut up." Sonic grumbled whilst throwing a towel at his best friend's face. Just as expected Tails caught it with one hand( he may have been not so physical before but over his 17 years of life he's been training and is almost at muscular and tall as Sonic btw).
"You my friend," Tails started while putting his hand on Sonic's shoulder"are whipped." Sonic rolled his eyes and shook his head as the whipping noises began again while they started in the direction of the arcade.
