ADELBERT's POV
The sun is now setting, but still, its radiance illuminates the sky. Like the two of us, Vivian and I were in our twilight of years but our legacy I know will be eternal.
I am now in my retirement age, but I cannot leave the life I used to be, a cardiologist. Though I don't perform surgeries anymore, still I spearhead seminars and outreach programs for cardio patients...A thanksgiving for my successful heart transplant procedure to once my special patient, now my wife, Vivian.
"Adel, you are invited to be the guest speaker in the 'Gift Your Heart, Save Life' World Congress, are you gracing the affair?" Vivian asked which pulled me back from my deep thoughts.
"Yeah, but of course you will come with me," I said
"Sure, but can I take a visit first to ---?"
"No!" I said
"No? Why?" Vivian asked wondering
"It's because not only you, I will go with you," I said
"I thought you're not allowing me,"
"Why wouldn't I? I have ordered wreaths for him, and have the mausoleum repainted and adorned..."
"Oh, thanks,"
"Vivz, I don't envy you paying tribute to Zymon's memories, you were his wife and bestfriend, you can't erase that... Instead, I feel happy seeing you remembering him, for I know when my time comes, I have you too to bring me candles and flowers, You will remember me, too," I said
"Thank you... But please don't say that," Vivian
"I know Zyv and Vianz will be happy to know you remember their father and keep in your heart," I said
"Thank you Adel for always understanding and supportive, but my wish is not the same as you..." Vivian
"What is yours then?" I asked
"I want to close my eyes and take my breath sometime with you, I don't want to be in agony again. In agony waiting when we will be reunited," Vivian said teary-eyed.
"Vivz, my wish is to be with you forever, but we cannot defy Heaven's will... If ever my time will come ahead of yours, don't worry... I will watch over you just like before... I watch you and miss from a distance..."
"Adel- "
"Shhhhh...I will always be your star... You may not always see me in the skies but be assured I am always there," I said
"I don't know,"
"Stop worrying please, remember your heart...I am lucky that you live more than we expected... I am given the chance to be with you..."
