Matt and Amara were in his house, both finishing their homework. Amara had so much that Mattholomule had to help her unwillingly at one point but kind of liked it. It helped him understand other magic as well. "Finally." Amara half groaned and huffed. "Urgh. Why did you choose so many classes!" Amara chuckled and scratched her chin. "I wanted to long ago. But once the human girl changed the rule, I had to get a chance!" Mattholomule rolls his eyes but nods again. "So. Mara? And August? Are those nicknames I hear?" Amara smirked raising a brow at the boy, he just blushed a bit and crossed his hands.

"I didn't want him to know your name." Amara hums, not looking convinced while smiling. "Right." She chuckled and shook her head. "So, August? -" "I don't want to talk about it." Matt stops Amara's words, but she shuts her mouth with a small smile. Taking in the silence for a full minute, Matt groans, ruffling his hair. "He's such a nerd! You had to see how he tried to stand up for himself. Urgh! He's such an idiot!" Mattholomule kept rambling and complaining.

"And why is he taller than me? We are the same age! No, he's younger!" Matt kept on a few phrases that stood out. "Why did he do that? He looked so cool making that. Why does he even study illusion magic he can do much more! He is one year younger!" Amara smiled softly at the boy while looking at him. Matt had to admit that at one point, Amara acted like an older sister or a weird aunt to the kid, and he appreciated it at times but wouldn't ever say it out loud.

"Urgh, he's such a nerd. He's twelve... He... he wanted to be my friend and he saved me multiple times... " Matt finishes crossing his hands, and Amara stares at the boy before bursting into a fit of giggles that ends up being laughter. "Why are you laughing!" Matt blushed while his ears twitched. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry." Her laughter died down while she cleared her throat and stood up, heading to the kitchen to cook. "Why were you laughing?" Matt glared at the girl while she shrugged. "Well, I'm laughing a bit because you never talk about anyone else. Plus, how you ended up rambling for more than fifteen minutes."

The blue-haired girl shook her head, chuckling, walking to the kitchen, and started to cook, while Matt groaned. "As if, I just hate him." Amara hums and nods, letting him talk again. "His hair is a bird's nest. He should do something else to it. Maybe... Braids will look good... Or try and add maybe a few clips to it." the boy mutters while resting his head on the table. Amara smiled and hummed, shaking her head. Yesterday, Matt didn't want to talk about Augustus at all. Ignoring Amara when she brought the curly-haired boy to the conversation. "Yeah, it will. Maybe you could do them for him." Amara smirked.

While today he just couldn't stop rambling about the boy, she had to admit he was funny like this but she won't say it out loud. "I don't know how to do that." The girl hums while adding some bee eyes. "You can practice on my hair! I'll show you!" She chuckles while the boy groans. "You just want me to do them for you." She chuckles and shrugs. "Dinners ready," Amara spoke up over the talking boy, setting up the plates Matt stared at the food before eating, while Amara read over a book while eating. "What are you reading now." Matt points out with his fork while Amara hums and swallows.

"Shield magic 203. I've been studying this for a few days. That's why I was late the other day, I was in the library trying to gather as much as I could. I barely had two books when I noticed I was late. Anyway, it's interesting. If I could adjust it to shield the house when it rains."

Matt's head perks up at the words and tries to peek at the book. Amara just chuckled and took another bite, handing him the book. "Here. If you need help with it, I'm here. But don't overdo it. You already have two major classes." Matt rolls his eyes while opening the book. "Look who's talking. You have almost five. And now you regret it." Amara gasps faking she was offended. "As if! I love it! I just hate the other basic classes like math, English, demonic scrolls, and history. Urgh." Amara half sobs acting dramatic while chewing her food. Matt just ignores her and reads over the book, nodding a bit at her but mostly focused on the book quite interested in its contents.

"Thanks for cooking." "No problem! See you around Matt!" Amara smiled and waved at the boy before half-shouting, "Enjoy your date this week!" Amara laughed and ran fast while Matt stood there shocked and startled with pink cheeks. "It's not a date!"
