The morning Kristen had found herself in the bed with Mr. Sixx again was dreadful to her. As much as she knew she shouldn't be here and she should leave, she just couldn't. She felt too right in his arms, too safe listening to his light breathing, too happy to leave him again. She decided she would stay with him, worrying about the details later. She felt content for the first time in a long time, like all her unanswered questions were answered and like she could breathe freely again. Her movements stilled when she felt Nikki toss and turn in bed, she turned her head and saw he was still asleep peacefully. She turned her body looking at his sleeping features with a small smile on her face. She found herself looking at the small tattoo of a star he had on his cheek. She remembered when he got that, it had been during one of the many times they were not on speaking terms.

Kristen smiled fondly slipping into a memory of them not that long ago of him convincing her to get another tattoo. She only had the one on her side that she had gotten not long after she had turned 18 on a whim, but she had not gotten any since. One night, she had made a joke when they were drunk about how she wanted to get a Playboy bunny on her right asscheek. And Nikki Sixx being the sleazy man he had always been, ate that up. He had pestered her for weeks to get it, he offered to pay for it because he wanted her to get it so bad. She remembered saying to him "If you think I can afford an at most $60 tattoo you must think very lowly of me". She said it as a joke but deep down she meant it. She was always so insecure about her lack of money and his abundance of it. She knew no matter what job she got she would more than likely never make as much as he did and she was almost ashamed of it. She did not want Nikki to think that she was with him for his money, she was fine without it way before she met him and even after when they would fall out.

Now Nikki never thought that about Kristen, never even crossed his mind. He was so desperate for her love at times that he almost threw it at her as a bribe to stay with him. Other times he would do it as a test to see if she would take it as quickly as other girls did, but she never did. Nikki had many regrets about how he had played games with her so many times throughout the years, but it was wired in his brain. He was so used to everyone leaving him so easily that he tried everything he could think of to test her loyalty. And the worst thing was, most of the time it was him that was not loyal to her. It was always a battle within Nikki's brain, he loved her and he wanted to stay loyal to her but the more impulsive side always said "Just beg for forgiveness" and he would always give into his selfishness in the end. And he knew that was a problem he had and it was always what broke the two of them up. He was the problem never her.

The two of them had a love story you would read about in cheesy romance novels that always had a dark twist. They were toxic and so bad for each other at times. They couldn't live with each other but they also could not live without each other. But ask either of them to admit it and they would deny it until they ran out of breath. Nikki would often find himself in bed with another woman during those times when Kristen refused to talk to him. But he would sometimes get halfway into the act and have to leave because all he could think about was Kristen and it was affecting his performance, if you know what I mean. He knew Kristen was going to ruin him one day and she has. He couldn't even stand to kiss another woman that wasn't her, sometimes he could hardly stand holding a conversation with a woman that wasn't her.
