Flashing lights were all Kristen could see—screams and flashing lights. The only thing that she could see was dots in her eyes from the numerous cameras around her. A squeeze on her hand made her turn her head and smile at Nikki, who was dressed in an all-black suit. She tried to get him to wear a normal one, but he had to be different. Kristen was also clad in all black, her silk black dress flowed down her long legs. The neckline was plunging and the dress hugged her body to perfection. Nikki threw a fit when he first saw her and almost made her change, but Kristen refused to listen.

Her long blonde hair falling down her back in loose curls made Nikki weak at his knees and his palms sweat. Nikki was so focused on the beautiful blonde by his side that he couldn't even hear what the reporter was asking him. He quickly shut the interview down because the pair hadn't even been inside yet. He tugged Kristen along with him as they entered the large room that was almost so dark Nikki couldn't see. The low red and white lights were the only thing helping him see his way through the crowd. As people started to surround them in the crowd Nikki mindlessly stuffed his hand into his front pant pocket, gripping the soft velvet box. His heart started to race as he touched the box that contained his future fate with the blonde trailing behind him, hand gripping around his forearm so as not to get lost. It was a little sooner than Nikki originally thought but something in his heart told him this was the right time. He had known Kristen for so long, no matter the state of their relationship they always knew each other. All his good and bad memories have her in them, making them feel like home.

The rest of his bandmates came into view and he picked up his pace, desperately needing something to distract him with the situation in his pants, the velvet box which Nikki now felt was burning into his hand. Loud cheers erupted when everyone spotted them, he felt Kristen laughing behind him as she was now pushed up against his back. Tommy and Vince looked back and forth between each other, making it obvious they knew something Kristen didn't know. Nikki widened his eyes at the two and they snapped back into a somewhat normal expression. Vince shouted her name and tugged her away. The plan was for Vince to take her somewhere she would be distracted for a while, Tommy originally volunteered to do it until they remembered how bad he is at keeping secrets. When they disappeared from our sight Tommy and Nikki jumped into action.

Nikki's heart was pounding and his forehead was lined with a sheen of sweat. His nerves were at an all-time high. He never thought in a million years that being this nervous after various years of performing in front of thousands and thousands of people was even possible. Nikki reached the small stage area where the band was to perform in about 20 minutes. He spotted Mick fooling around with his guitar getting ready for the show and he rushed over to the older man. They exchanged knowing looks as Nikki came closer.
