"You don't have to look at it if it scares you.""N.. No I'm alright."
"Are you sure? You're shaki-"
"It's okay, please just do it fast. I'm not scared, i-it's just- well, uncomfortable."
The stinging of the shot lingers over his arm. Bandages covered on his body.. He didn't like looking at them. Nurses and doctors, checking up on ones health either mentally or physically. Different procedures done on ones human body. It wasn't exactly pleasant to be intterogated or given a schedule on medication. But it had to be done, to maintain a healthy immune system.
His fingers dusted over his now sore arm, lightly patting the newly placed bandaid. It's been three days ever since his awakening in the hospital. Uneasiness rushed to greet him everywhere he went. Every nook and cranny of the hospital felt unwelcoming to his presence. Even the nurse who walked beside him made him feel quite nauseous in distrust.
He speedwalked the empty halls, wanting to get to his destination as fast as he could. He still wasn't told why he was held captive here, which hightened his fear of the unknown. The thought of human expiramentation whispered into his ears, but he scoffed and swatted that theory away while mumbling about how silly that would be. The people in the hospital treated him too kindly to be expiramenting on his body anyways.
At last, he came upon two dark doors blocking his path. He huffed in eagerness to get inside as he began to use what little strength he had to push the doors open. He smiled, as he was immediately greeted with two familiar people. Two people who were just as clueless as he was.
Harukawa Maki, and Yumeno Himiko. Maki was known as the ultimate assasin, but she introduced herself as a 'child caregiver' at first. Ofcourse, her fake title wasn't that believeable. She seemed way too.. unapproachable for a child. Himiko was the ultimate magician. She insists on ultimate mage, even though she claims it doesn't bother her much.
The two females sat beside eachother on a wool knitted carpet, big enough to fit 20 people. He welcomed himself on the carpet, sitting down in a criss-cross position and his hands intertwining with his own fingers. The room around them consisted of bean bag chairs of multiple colours and bookshelves full of books.
"Hi there, Maki and Himiko." He raised both his hands up and waved to the two infront of him, giving them a warm smile. They waved back to him, the short red-head giving him a smile that bared all her teeth while the red eyed lady greeted him in a calming manner.
"What are we supposed to be doing? Im pretty sure theres more of us.. 13 more people should be here, right? Where are they?" Maki questioned the nurses in the room. One nurse took it upon herself to answer.
"We'll be inviting them later. Right now, our priority is you three." Shuichi stared at her in confusion. huh? what's wrong? Where are they?
The nurse caught his concerned expression and called his attention with her voice, "Please do not fear. I'm pretty sure this is the first time you've been called in a room by us, correct?"
Maki didn't consider a handful of them to be labeled as her 'friends', but they all nodded in agreement with the nurse either way.
"Just as I thought. Well you three, this is your first therapy discussion!" The nurse spoke up and made eye contact with each of us while other nurses in the room nodded as if reassuring us that what she's saying is correct. Himiko raised her hand high in the air, treating the nurses like teachers when she wanted to ask a question.
"Therapy.. session??" The mage wanted to know more information, and so did the other two beside her. "What's so important about a therapy session that you had to leave like.. 13 other people out?"
