A familiar, high-pitched voice wakes me up, and it makes me sit up on my bed.

"Y-Yes!" I blurted out as I looked at the person. My vision was still blurry, so I rubbed my eyes.

"Finally! You're awake.. Mama is already angry.." The person said as she sighed in disappointment.

Oh. It was my little sister.. Celine. And she's ready now?

"Alright.. I'll get out in a few minutes.." I said while plopping down back to bed.

"A few minutes or a few hours?" She said while hitting me lightly on the top of my head. It was light, but it still stings

"Fine.. I'll get out." I mumbled.

"Now." She said in a demanding tone as she visibly threatened me with her hand, ready to slap me again.

"Okay! Okay! Fine..!" I said as I rushed out of bed and headed towards the door out of my room.

My sister followed me down the stairs, and I was greeted by my mom fuming in anger.

"Uh oh." My sister mumbled under her breath as she stepped back.

"I'll be heading to school now.." She muttered while gulping nervously before rushing out of the house.

"Am I supposed to also answer your entrance exam?" My mother said as she looked at me with a condescending look.

"I-Im sorry, Ma.. I-I'll get ready.." I said in a scared tone while stuttering.

"You better do that! Be responsible, Carl.. I don't know what will happen to you if I'm already dead.." My mother said as she plopped down the couch.

I just rolled my eyes as I headed to the bathroom.

I opened the shower and started cleaning my body.

I looked at the mirror and noticed my build. I was skinny but tall. Girls always like tall guys, right?

I rubbed the soap on my dark, flawless skin before rinsing it with clean water.

I squeezed the shampoo bottle on my hand before rubbing my hands. I scrubbed it on my hair thoroughly before rinsing it with the water from the shower.

I wrapped the towel around me and headed out of the bathroom.

I then ascended upstairs and walked towards my room. I walked in front of my closet and started grabbing some clean clothes to wear.
