rui pushes past the crowd in corridors, finding himself standing in front of the theatre room where there wasn't many people compared to before. he felt a cold gust against his neck before he places his hand on the handle of the door, the door opens quickly meeting eyes with the star he had met a couple times before.
he blinks.
tsukasa blinks.
they both speak and stop, rui feeling embarrassed at the way they accidentally cut each other off. he scratches his neck and looks around, tsukasa smiles up at rui and straightens his back.
"is there someone you're looking for?"
a girl with pink hair squeals as she jumps onto the blonde teenager, wrapping her arms around his neck as he jolts foward at the sudden impact. tsukasa furrows his brows and presses his lips together, quietly scolding the girl for interrupting rui.
"is nene here?" rui peeks into the theatre room, eyes scanning the stage where students were scattered.
tsukasa's eyes turn into moons at the name, a smile on his face as he nods and turns around, yelling out for the girl rui came to pick up. quickly turning around to look at rui again, he pushes the door open and leans against it, crossing his arms and raising a brow.
"what business do you have with her?"
"...hanging out."
"ohh? is that so?" the smile on his face grows wider.
rui felt awkward, he felt so odd being next to their theatre class' big star. he's just a guy who enjoys movies and directing, the film classroom being only a couple doors away. he and tsukasa only had business when it came to assignments where theatre and film jointed. he peers over at tsukasa, thinking back to when they bumped into each other when he was at work and how they had assignments together. they never had an actual conversation that didn't include math, english or anything school related. the two remained as two boys who talked occasionally or teamed up for class projects. rui really did want to get close to tsukasa, not just for school but as friends.
rui looks away when he hears nene call out from behind some of her classmates, he smiles at her while she smiles back and runs up to him. the duo look at tsukasa and the short girl beside him. rui waves at the two, looking down at nene who held eye contact with the pink haired girl. how sadness suddenly washed over her face, the change is so subtle he probably wouldn't have noticed if he hadn't been staring at her for a while. he wants to ask why, but he doesn't.
