Fine? (Chanbaek short story)

Chapter 3-Not again...

After Chanyeol fully processed his thoughts, he starts running like his life depended on it after the guy he thinks is Baekhyun.

"Baek! I know it's you! Stop trying to escape from me!!!" He shouted, not even caring about his surroundings and the possibility of the guy not being Baekhyun.

"Baek!" He continued shouting as he runs, not even bothering about the people giving him weird looks.

"Aish...where did he go? Why is he so fast with his short legs..." He mumbled to himself as he pants hard, trying to inhale air.

I don't want to lose him again. He thought to himself, not again...

Meanwhile, Baekhyun was just standing at one corner, looking at Chanyeol secretly while mumbling to himself but he can't make out what Chanyeol was mumbling.

Processing what he himself saw his own eyes before..Baekhyun started tearing up again as his heart felt ripped apart all over again and tried his very best to hold back his tears, but couldn't.

"So he really did move on...and his new boyfriend is Kyungsoo...of all people...why Kyungsoo..."

Baekhyun was really utterly disappointed as he didn't think that Kyungsoo would do this to him since he knew the actual reason. But..it was partly his fault for not contacting even Kyungsoo after he left so he probably had no clue if he was coming back and maybe he just...

After thinking about the scene, Baekhyun then came to his sense and realised that it was still Chanyeol's birthday. It was a dilemma to Baekhyun, thinking of whether he should still pay Chanyeol a visit and give him a present.

"Ahh..but Chanyeol did still give a wonderful birthday surprise for me the last time...and he always spends so much money and makes so much effort for me...and I just ditched him like that..." So Baekhyun just thought that he should still give him his present or else he would feel bad.

"What if he hates me already though? Since he has already moved on... Ah no no no. If that's the case, he wouldn't have chased after a guy probably thinking it was me just now...right? But what if it's awkward when I meet him?" The forever worried Baekhyun has so many negative thoughts it was driving him crazy.

"ARGH!! I should have expected this somehow...but I still had a little hope....now that it is gone...how am I supposed to face him properly without breaking down? How am I supposed to look at him...without love..?" Baekhyun started debating with himself, not knowing whether to find Chanyeol or not.

"Ahh, I don't care anymore. I was the one being heartless to him two years ago...I can't blame anyone else but me. Chanyeol has done so much for me and after treating him like that, I should at least give him a birthday present and give his new...relationship a blessing..." Baekhyun concluded with himself.

I guess I should use this as somewhat a chance to move on properly too. After all, it's not good to keep running away. Baekhyun thought and nodded to himself as tears started rolling down his cheeks looking at the tall giant still trying to look for him and Kyungsoo approaching him from a distance so he started walking back home with a broken heart. He couldn't bare to see the pair any longer.

"Ahhh..Baek...that was you, wasn't it? I'm sure it was you...that familiar figure...your movements...all that I knew so well..." Chanyeol muttled to himself while continuing to find Baekhyun, not having the slightest clue that Baekhyun has already went home.

"Why did you run away...I promise I won't do anything wrong in the future anymore..." Chanyeol said and started crying again at the thought of losing Baekhyun for the second time, "just...just come back to me..."

That was when Kyungsoo came running nearer to Chanyeol to see him breaking down in the middle of the road, with tons people passing by him.

"Hey, woah boy. It's your birthday..don't be so sad. Seeing you run so fast...you still love him a lot, don't you?" Kyungsoo said as he patted Chanyeol's shoulders smoothingly and pulled him up so that he was standing.

Seeing that Chanyeol has no replied, he jokingly said, "I didn't know you could run that fast!! I could hardly catch up with you!!" But Chanyeol still didn't even react one bit.

No matter what Kyungsoo did, it wasn't enough for Chanyeol to smile even a little.

He was quiet all along.

Until he suddenly spoke, "Kyungsoo...it hurts. It hurts so much..." He said as he clutched onto Kyungsoo so tighly and Kyungsoo could only pat him reassuringly, not knowing what else he could do to comfort the poor boy.

"ARGH!!" Chanyeol suddenly exploded, causing Kyungsoo to flinch.

But he continued, "I was so determined to make him mine again if I ever saw him in Korea again and was even willing to do everything I could...but I could even get the first step right...to get him to talk to me..."

"I don't understand??!! What have I done wrongly?? What did I do for him to suddenly leave two years ago?!" Chanyeol continued rambling and Kyungsoo let him be for a few moments.

When Chanyeol has calmed down a little, Kyungsoo spoke, "As I have said before, he has a reason for leaving and it has nothing to do with you. As far as I know, he still loves you as well."

"Well, what is the reason!"

"I think it's best that he tells you himself. Now that he's back, I'm sure he will talk to you."

"You have been saying that for two years!! I want to hear it from him but he was freaking running away from me just now!!"

"Okay, Chanyeol calm down, maybe he just needs some time."

At that moment, Chanyeol's phone beeped.
