We were flying for almost half the day when we saw land. It had grown colder the sky was a heavy blanket of grey, and the air was cold and damp. The ocean waves crashed against the rocky shore. There were several old docks there were falling apart. The sound of seagulls echoed in the air, as they flew off the docks. There were old buildings by the shoreline. Some made of wood others made of bricks all crumbling from years of neglect and the immense power of the ocean. The town falling into disrepair. The old ghost town had a big wide dirt road running throw it. It had not been used in years. Land here. Sky said pointing to the dirt road. I nodded and singled for the others to follow. Penny swooped down only turning upwards just before hitting the ground and landing. We landed just around ten feet away from the docks in the middle of the dirt road. Three seconds later the others landed too. Alonso and Archer had their pterodactyls set the plane down gently and laned. I hoped off Penny helping Sky down. Jaison and Tom helped hold her up by slinging their arms around her. You can hide them in there. Sky said pointing to an old brick building over Jaison's should to her right. Ok, come on this way. I said wavering the pterodactyls over to the building. The folder me and walked inside. The building was old. It was covered in dust and had no just dirt for the floor. Old doctors' equipment and old wooden barrels littered the place against the walls. I looked around there was only one window on the left side of the room. It was broken in the lower right conder. Ok, stay here. I said petting Penny behind her ears. She purred well licking her left paw clean. If I'm in trouble I will blow the whistle. Ok? I asked she stopped licking her paw and looked me in the eye. She gave a quick nod. Where when or how she learned how to nod and what it meant I don't know and I don't think I ever will. Good girl. I said to her with a smile then walked out. I closed the big barn-like doors and locked them with the big wooden lock.

We had been walking throw the ghost town for thirty minutes now. We had passed many run-down buildings and old closed shops that were bonded repair. I peered into a window of one of the rundown shops. The window was covered in dust and the inside want's much better. There was dust all over the place. There was a counter made out of wood with a dig shelf behind it. There were old jars all over the place. On the elves the counter on the floor the tables that I somehow missed. It was a candy store. I chuckled and smiled to myself thinking about what it must have been like here. Then a stupid rat ran by the window. I jumped back in shock. That thing scared me half to death. It squicked at me its beedy red eyes liking into mine. I rolled my eyes and walked off the regroup with the rest. After I regrouped with the rest we all stopped in shock at what we saw. To the right of us taking up an entire road was a graveyard. Headstone after headstone for probably five miles. Some were old broken gray ones well others were brain new. I slowly walked over to the first headstone I saw and read the date. Mia Anderson. Born  October 23 4038 died October 23 4038. I read it aloud and then gasped. She died this year. The poor girl. I muttered to myself. No one should die that young. And it was only October the twenty-fifth. Let's keep moving. Tom said sadness in his usually happy tone of voice. We kept walking this time in silence. I then heard someone crying. I walked over to the half-broken building on my left and looked throw the window. There was a woman in a white ratty old dress and no shoes or socks sitting on the floor. She had her long brown hair up in a bun. She was sobbing into her hands well her husband tried to comfort her by rubbing small circles on her back. It's my fault. I got her sick. I'm why she's gone. My Mia. The woman sobbed again shaking. A piece of my heart broke. That little girl's tombstone was this lady's daughter. It's ok. We will be with her soon enough. The man said holding his wife close. That's when I saw that they were very pale skinny and weak. They also had some kind of black lumps on their arms. It was clear they were sick and weren't going to make it. I sighed to myself and walked away. There was nothing I could do for them or their daughter. I had regrouped with the others again. What happened to this town? I thought. All those headstones the broken buildings only shells of what they once were, the old shop's happy memories fading out of existence. Happy families are being turned apart and broken. I kept on walking with the rest. The atmosphere changed from hopeful and fun to dark and depressing real quick. We walked past more buildings and more graveyards. There are a lot of graveyards here. There was this small girl probably only eight sitting by a falling-apart building. She had long dirty blonde hair and green eyes. She had nothing on her feet and was wearing an oversized weight dress that was black from all the dirt on it and ripped. She looked up at us scared. It was clear she was starving. I opened my bag and pulled out a phoenix fruit and handed it to her. I didn't have much else in my bag if I did I would have given anything else to her. Good thing phoenix fruit only tastes bad when you drink them. The rest of the time they are just ok. She smiled up at me and then took a bite. She then started to eat it like it was the best thing she has ever tasted. I smiled to myself as we walked off.

We were walking when Sky stopped making Tom and Jaison who was keeping her from falling stop suddenly. We all turned to look at her and then back to see a girl standing in front of us only ten feet away. She had long brown hair up in a ponytail and green eyes. She was wearing a red cork top with long sleeve black pants and a black makes covering up everything but her eyes. She was holding a sword in her left hand. Oh shit. I mutter pulling out my sword. The outside world was not was not what we expected. You could say it was sickening.

( That's right I'm leaving it on a cliffhanger! Have fun till I get some ideas for my next book!. )
