"Masao, can you now open your mouth on what you have been trying to say for the PAST TWO HOURS?"
sixteen year old Nene was losing it. with masao telling that it was about shinchan, she couldn't be more patient. Kazama and Suzuki also sat there, chin on their palms, leaning onto the table.
it was lunchtime and they were waiting for shinchan to join them while Nene started at masao.
he had been trying to tell something but shinchan interrupted everytime. shinchan suddenly left after hearing the lunch break bell.
"so... I was hearing rumours about him..." masao started. the other three listened with full attention.
"and what was that?" nene asked, more impatient than anyone. she suddenly thought of shinchan behaving so suspicious (in a weird and funny way)recently. so she wanted to know what he was up to.
"I heard that... that..."
kazama stood up, "if you're hesitating this much then okay, I'm hungry I'll go get my lunch."
"shinchan and Ai Chan might be dating. they kissed."
masao's words hit bullets in kazama's chest. yet, he didn't know why he felt like that.
okay, majority of girls in school thinks he's cool. aichan had been trying to impress him since kindergarten. looks like she won but what does it have to do with me?
"THEY DID WHAT?" nene exploded. he tome wasn't filled with excitement in gossiping. but some sort of anger mixed with jealousy. she clearly knew she didn't like shinchan, in a 'more than friend' way. so it was obvious. Nene was confused if she actually liked aichan or not.
that one statement from masao burned up the calm of two people. Suzuki however, didn't mind. he only wanted his friend shinchan to be happy at the end.
just then shinchan appeared before them.
"so you all gathered here without me?" he asked.
"and you started dating behind our backs?" Nene asked with a dead glare.
"what are you talking about? dating?" shinchan laughed.
"I don't see any joke here."
"no Nene, but really? you can't be serious."
"let's see who ain't serious."
shinchan slowly grew frustrated. "what are you even saying?"
"a-aren't you and aichan dating?" masao asked.
"no." came the direct answer from him.
this somehow relieved two people. but masao continued,"then why is there a rumour about you kissing her?"
"that... I don't know."
"you don't know? so you guys must be dating!"
"stop talking nonsense Nene!"
"then deny the rumours. deny that you haven't kissed her."
everyone became silent after Nene asked that. shinchan's head drooped a little. he sighed and sat next to Suzuki.
"why are you silent now?" Nene asked.
"okay. we've kissed." he admitted.
"sorry guys! I need to go! I just remembered that I have an assignment to turn in before next period." saying thus, kazama left, his words piercing as cold arrows into shinchan.
he wondered why kazama left suddenly. that guy was always punctual about schoolworks and usually doesn't forget about turning in his assignments. he shrugged that thought away.
"why do you say you're not dating her now that you've kissed her?" masao asked. Nene just couldn't collect herself after that.
sigh. this is gonna be long telling them everything.

"SHINCHAN!" The twenty six year old Nene ran to shinchan and hugged him with tearful eyes.
she grew up to be a very beautiful woman, but her face showed exhaustion. he dressing made her look like and executive. she wore a black coat and suit and looked like she was off from work.
"n-nene!?" shinchan asked.
"YOU RECOGNISE ME! OH MY GOD! I THOUGHT HIMAWARI WAS JOKING YESTERDAY WHEN SHE CALLED ME!"
"whoa whoa calm down! let's talk peacefully now that I'm here."
Nene eyed him with narrow eyebrows.
"what?" he asked.
"where did you learn punctuality from?"
shinchan chuckled,"come on Nene, I'm all grown up!"
Nene raised her eyebrows but shinchan laughed it away.
"so, where are the others? how's your job going? Suzuki's automobile showroom? masao's animation works? and kazama's business?" he asked.
"yes it's going well- wait. how did you know this?"
"hehe... kinda kept a close view on you guys even when I was away..."
Nene's heart softened more.
"should I take you to my workplace?"
"your workplace means... kazama's company right?"
"exactly."
kazama was the chief executive officer (ceo) and Nene the managing director of the company.
he was definitely ready for meeting kazama, but nervous. very nervous.
