"what?" shinchan asked.
"y-you just kissed me." Kazama was a blushing mess.
"I-I was- thinking about... the past and the day we... had our first kiss... so..."
"oh my god you're-" Kazama never finished that sentence. he pulled shinchan into a deep and passionate kiss. shinchan felt at ease. he had missed Kazama and finally he felt like he gained back what he lost.
they slowly pulled back, holding each other by the waist and neck.
"can we actually start over? I really wanna be your boyfriend."
shinchan was taken aback by the next thing Kazama did. he did not expect this reaction of kazama at all.
did he just slap me?
Kazama kept on hitting shinchan on the arms, not much in a brutal way. rather a bit softly.
"what are you doing? ouch!" shinchan asked inbetween trying to defend himself.
"I.. just took out... my emotions on... missing you before. Now let me... release... my pent up anger and frustration of ten years on you."
Kazama stopped when he was out of breath.
"don't stop, hit me. I deserve it... I'm really sorry Kazama I've been a brat for too long."
"you've always been one so never mind"
Kazama smiled and patted shinchan's head. shinchan let out a soft hum indicating he's feeling relaxed with the biggest smile plastered on his face. they stood hugging for another long moment.
"Kazama..." shinchan started.
"hm?"
"why were you suddenly calling me shinnosuke when we met after ten years? I thought you'd call me shinchan and run to me while crying and hug me like they do in movies."
Kazama stared at him and sighed.
"are you actually that dumb or acting like one?"
"no, but why?" shinchan looked at him with puppy eyes.
"ugh I was already disturbed okay? as I saw you walk in like nothing happened I lost my shit. I was totally uncomfortable. initially I thought I shouldn't even talk to you but I just couldn't. I couldn't be cold to you."
"as our classmates used to say, the attitude nerd has a soft spot for shinchan. i then told you were still rude with me in public but never revealed the cute and lovely moments we had when it was only us. everytime we kissed, you looked so cute."
"stop teasing me will you?" Kazama blushed.
"you're... still so cute." shinchan earned a soft push and Kazama put his head on shinchan's shoulders.
"shall we go downstairs? they might be waiting for us."
shinchan nodded.
as they slowly walked to the party hall, Kazama said, "I had told my mom you are back. she says she wants to meet you and have a small talk."
"sure I can visit. I miss the food she prepares."
Kazama chuckled. "lets enjoy tonight!"
they ran towards the others grabbing drinks and slowly moving their bodies to the music.
"okay here comes the boyfriends holding hands." himawari Snickered.
"is that even dancing?" Nene was having secondhand embarassment with shinchan's goofy moves.
atleast he acts like he always was. she thought.
soon they all start singing karaoke, dance and play some games to celebrate their reunion with shinchan.
throughout the program shinchan glances at Kazama receiving a big smile from him, locking eyes till forever.
