"YOU TOLD ME you'd find her!" My shaking hands slam on his desk table, causing a few files and objects to fall.

It's been almost a month since Navea had gone missing and each passing second without her felt like torture. I've never spent this much time without her. It was always me and her while she was growing up into the beautiful young woman she is today.

"What do you think I'm trying to do?" Victor looks up at me from his desk. He's been just as overwrought as me when he found out our daughter had gone missing.

You could barely see the wrinkles telling his age. Some would even think he's still an adult without knowing he's rocking his 40's. But now, a few wrinkles appear on his forehead, showing just how restless he has been while trying to find our daughter.

"It's been forever." I let out a breath and almost fall on my knees but with his quick reflexes, he gets up and catches me, slowly placing me on the chair.

Victor has always been soft and gentle with me even after I had taken his daughter away from him all these years. Deep down he knows that what I'm doing is what's best for her and just as much as he hates that idea, he comes in terms with it just for me.

"Imagine how I must feel Agatha? You kept her away from me her entire life and now that she's gone missing I feel like a piece of me that's already been tearing apart ripped out fully."

My heart sinks as I face to my side, watching his face and his beautiful features. I've never realized it but he always showed a hint of sadness, like he always had this deep empty hole inside him.

Maybe I was wrong for taking Navea away from him. Maybe he was all Navea ever needed and I miscalculated the situation too much because of the background Victor has, without knowing that he could've protected her all these years.

"I'm sorry, Victor." My voice chokes as tears start to sting my eyes, maybe I was wrong for taking her away. "I-I didn't realize that while I took her away I was also taking a part of you away. Even after you put those walls up to ensure her safety and prove to me that you can protect our daughter, I still doubted you. I should've never done that because now that she's gone, I've started to realize you were all she's ever needed in her life. And now, she might never get to see just how much her father loves her."

I start bawling my eyes out and pull myself closer to Victor's chest, his body softens and welcomes my body into his embrace before he starts soothing my hair.

"It's alright, mon amour." His voice is as soft as his body which makes me want to stay in his embrace forever.

"I'll find her, no matter what." It sounded more like a fact than an uncertainty. That's what I love about him, he's always reassuring in the worst situation.

"You'll find our baby girl, I'm sure of it."
