Our lips locked and the key was thrown out of my reach. We stayed there for some time until things didn't feel right.
I pulled away and did a 360 checking my surroundings. I saw Shane look over my shoulder and his.
Nothing.
We both paused and looked at each other. Shane couldn't help but smile which forced me to do the same.
It kinda hurt. I hadn't smiled in nearly a year, not truly anyways. At the same time it felt wonderful. Better than anything I'd ever felt before.
"Wow," I said.
"What first kiss?" Shane said referring to the first time we kissed. We both couldn't help but chuckle. Mostly because him saying that made us both think of that night and we didn't want to ruin the moment by having a terrible flash back.
"No," I smiled, "it was so much better."
Shane's grin grew bigger. And things couldn't of been more perfect.
"Why don't we do this assignment another time. Maybe come back tomorrow," he suggested.
"What do you plan on doing instead?" I asked with a crooked smile.
"Oh I plan on getting to know a girl. A girl who makes me smile ever day. A girl I get jealous over when I see her with her boy friend. A girl that I kissed a long time ago and left."
He took my other and and pulled me close.
"I'm not doing that again."That night Shane and I spent most of our time together. We got ice cream and just talked. I learned things about him that most of his closest friends don't even know. And he found out some of my secrets.
It was wonderful, beautiful, perfect. But all good things must come to an end. I just hoped this didn't. I prayed at something could keep this moment alive for ever. That time would just stop and we could run away.
Away from everything. From everyone.
Something are just too good to be true.
