Prison had the same boring routine every day. It was peaceful... but boring.

As usual, Iseul sat away from the rest of the inmates in the cafeteria area as everyone had thier lunches. He could hear some people arguing from behind him, and in front of him, some of them were arguing about the food served there for not having a taste.

Atleast it doesn't kill them, or poison them. Atleast it was healthy. 

What did they expect? The life of a criminal would be luxurious and filled with riches. Well, not when you're behind bars at least.

 "I want the beans to have an actual fucking taste!" Iseul lifted his head up, looking at where an inmate his age was practically being grabbed by the collar by a guy around his forties.

"Sir- this is how we're supposed to cook.. there're diabetics here, we're supposed to-"

"Listen here you little scumbag.." The man shut the younger up threateningly and Iseul sighed, closing his eyes for a moment.

It was always this routine.

He'd have to listen to their bickering, watch them fight about the same things over and over again- which at this point, bored him to the core. And he still had quite a while before he was released. 

He relished the time he spent by himself though. It gave him a chance to peacefully drift into his memories. He could think about that one person he wanted to see more than anyone else. 

He couldn't wait for the day he'd be released. He'd tell her everything, and maybe a special feeling that kept growing with all the time he spent separated from her. 

"All of you! shut up!" Iseul's head perks up at the sound of an officer. All the inmates quiet down and the man who held the boy who was serving the food let go of his collar, mumbling something inaudible.

Once everyone quieted down, the officer turned his head to Iseul. "Khang Iseul. You have a visitor" He said and immediately, Iseul felt him subconsciously tighten his grip on the spoon in his hand.

His heart beat faster, like when he got his first visitors. 
He thought it was her. 

But who was he kidding?

Why would she want to see him after knowing the truth about him? After knowing that he had once allied with the same person who drugged her grandparents?

Why would she even want to see his face?

Iseul felt his knees go weak the moment he stepped into his cell and see the girl waiting by the door. Unlike other inmates, he was given the chance to meet his visitors in person. It was like a small benefit he got from helping the cops in solving a crime while also turning himself in.

"Pan..." The boy felt his heart thump in his chest as his legs weakly dragged himself a little closer to her. He stood in front of her, anticipating what she might say.
