"She can't be your mate, king Elijah." Said the man seated third from the left. They were a total of seven vampire men, all wearing black capes over black clothes, "She looks nothing like Charlotte Grave." His voice sounded strained as if he struggled to talk. "But I must say, her blood smells... divine..."
The vampire isn't looking at me, but it doesn't stop the hairs on my neck from standing up.

"You didn't accept Charlotte Grave, or did you forget?" Elijah challenge the group of men. "It's only after my father made me murder her, that you admitted she was my mate. By then my father was just too happy that he could use the excuse that she was of vampire hunter bloodline."

The one next to him, seemingly unaffected speaks. "Have you found Beverly?"

I turn my head to look at Elijah who's standing right next to me, looking awesome. Yeah, he looks handsome in a leather jacket and dark brown button-up shirt and a dark blue denim and black boots. Why on earth did you bring me here? This has got nothing to do with me, unless you will finally admit in front of others that I am Charlotte Grave reborn. Still, Charlotte Grave has got nothing to do with me. My brain reason back, 'OH, but you were Charlotte Grave. And he killed you. And you've fallen for him again. Stupid.'

Elijah shakes his head, "No, but I have every available agent looking for her. She's been using some powerful magic to hide herself."

She did manage to have fire appear out of her hands that burnt a tree without actually burning it down.

The unaffected one speaks again, "Is that why Lincoln Flint is here today?" The vampire sitting next to him are staring at me as if he wants to suck me dry. I look away from him, feeling uncomfortable. Large room. Nice old books... chandeliers... thick black curtains covering the ceiling to floor windows... shiny floor...portraits of each of these vampire ancients showing off their ancient apparel that they still wear... long black hair... dark pools for eyes... I am sure it feels like they are all staring at me through the paintings. I shudder. My eyes catches a large sized mirror on the other side of the room, I barely had chance to put on makeup when Elijah knocked on my door after sunrise to tell me I should go with him. "You have no choice but to go with me. "
I rolled my eyes internally. "This early?"
"You have five minutes." He said before marching back to his car.
I frowned before using force to shut the door to go get ready, or at least dress in a denim, t-shirt, sneakers and denim jacket that I picked up from a chair. My hair is up in a messy bun, and I totally regret it. I could have washed it and blow dried it if he made an appointment.

Lincoln Flint speaks, "It's nice to see you again, elder Campbell."
So this is the leader of the ancient vampires sitting in front of me, I've especially heard of him. He himself fought off a bunch of werewolves a very long time ago when they attacked their small village when only a handful of humans knew of their existence. Once the werewolves were dealt with, humans used magic to create vampire hunters to protect themselves. Those times were horrid. The blood and corpses of vampire and vampire hunters decorated the small village. Yeah, vampires doesn't mysteriously turn into ash when staked through the heart or when their heads are removed from their bodies. It's said that wild animals fed off their carcasses for weeks. Jeez, horrible.

Elder Campbell. "So, you are here because..."
That words draws my attention back. I'd also like to know why I am here. No one actually believes I used to be Charlotte Grave, except for me and maybe Elijah.

Lincoln, "I am sure that this woman is king Elijah's real reborn mate."
My eyes revert toward Elijah who's face is emotionless, and he only looks at the vampires in front of us as if he expects them to attack any moment.

I remember Elijah's warning right before we stepped out of his car after a three-hour long drive, "Don't trust any of them. I'm only here out of decency and because I have to proof Beverly isn't my mate."

Elder Campbell lifts a brow, unbelief written all over his face. All of them, actually.

One of the other elders speak to Lincoln. "You know it's an offense to deceive the Court. No matter who you are."

"Now. Now. Roland. I am sure Lincoln Flint knows what he's doing." Elder Campbell says to Lincoln, "Then show us or at least tell us that you have nothing to show. We have other court matters to attend to."

I move a little closer to Elijah's side, just in case they get angry enough to attack. I'm surprised when Elijah takes me hand and holds it, weaving his fingers through mine.

Lincoln moves to stand in front of me to face me, his hands lifts and I am sure I can sense power radiating from them even if I can't see anything at first. Then as if scales fall off my eyes, I see the blue light coming out of them and it goes through my whole body, feeling like electricity.

Imagine morphing in front of a group of important vampires into the exact image of Charlotte Grave. I don't know how it happened, the one moment I am me and the next, I'm her. I don't know until I see surprised faces looking at me, and I can feel that my appearance has changed. So I look into the mirror and a gasp escape my lips. What. The. Actual. Hell.?!
My free hand touches my face and my hair that had turned into blonde.
Lincoln smiles then turns toward the vampires, "Just as I suspected. Someone used magic to hide Daniella's real identity."

Elder Campbell lifts himself off his seat and walks towards me. "Have you ever suspected that you are indeed the reborn of king Elijah's mate?"

I nod. "Reborns gets a dream of their past life."

The rest of the Elders stand up as well, and they with Elder Campbell bows and say in unison, "Queen."

Surprised by their action, I say, "I'm not your Queen."

Elder Campbell, "But you are."

Lincoln speaks, "They already have a bloodbond."

Elder Campbell, "I could see it the moment you walked in. "

"I was healed by Elijah after Beverly and her minion attacked me in the forest." I also say, "It has no affect on me."
