"You did it." It's Elijah smiling, pulling me into an embrace, "You actually did it."

It's different being this close to Elijah knowing how much he suffered after he murdered Charlotte- or as it is- me in my past life. My arms that are hanging by my sides starts to move to hug him also. It feels nice.

Lady Agatha speaks, "I think there are other things we need to discuss first."
Everyone looks at her, even Neo who is staring my way, eyes dark. He must have arrived right before Darryn and I opened our eyes.

We let go of each other, and Elijah puts space between us.

Lady Agatha, "Now that you know that you don't need to become a vampire, and you don't know much about magic yet, you need to learn how to protect yourself."

"I don't think that would be necessary." I say, feeling awkward that someone thinks I'll be able to learn how to fight. "I mean, I could learn how to use my magic."

"You can't. Not now, and maybe never."

"Why?"

"Because you're a yang, and still alive after the spell."

"There we go again." I tell her also feeling very much upset, "So I should have died during the spell, because I should have become an evil immortal that should be killed, is that right?"

She breathes in as if she needs to restrain herself, "Yes."

"Okay." I fold my arms going in offensive. "Then why teach me how to fight? Why not just drop me off somewhere so that someone can kill me?"

"That's not what we stand for."

I laugh sarcastically, "That's not what you stand for. Yeah, I get it. You don't trust me. But I've never hurt anyone. I'd never intentionally hurt someone else."

It's Elijah stepping in between me and lady Agatha, "I know you won't intentionally hurt anyone, Daniella. But for now you have to learn how to fight in order to protect yourself."

"I fought with you against that living dead, or did you forget? My magic helped all of us." I tell him, not angry trying to proof my point. "Even in that uneasy circumstance, I fought for my friends too."

"Just please do as she says. Please."

Lincoln speaks from where he's standing leaning his back against a wall, "I already locked your magic."

I throw my arms up in the air, "Okay. Whatever. Whose going to teach me to fight?" I ask no one in particular, looking at all the men in the room.

Neo starts to speak, but Elijah quickly interjects, "I will."

I can't help but show my dissatisfaction towards his suggestion. Elijah is strong, a skilled fighter and the vampire king. I saw how he and Neo fought. How would any of them have the patience to teach a rookie how to fight?

"Or I could send someone." Says Lincholn.

Someone with magic while I can't use mine will just upset me more. I say to Elijah. "Okay." I pull off my jacket and put it over a chair, so glad I was wearing a tank top underneath.

Neo hands both of us strange looking swords.

"What's this?" I look at the sword that looks sharp, and doesn't weight much.

"It's a sword, specially made to kill demons." Elijah holds it seemingly in the right way with his hand.

I just firm my grip on the sword, "You expect me to fight more demons?"

Elijah smiles, "You are going to stay, aren't you?"

"Stay?"

"With us. So you might as well join the agency." He lunges for me, but not too rough.

I'm surprised that I can work the sword, as I work my way forward making Elijah go backwards still sword fighting with me. "Have you done this before?" Elijah asks after we've stopped.

"No. I've never done this." I feel sweaty and out of breath. What a workout.

Neo claps his hands. "You're a natural."

"Or you're keeping things from us." Lady Agatha's accusation stunns me. "You are a natural when it comes to spells, and now it seems like you can handle a sword."

"We're done here." Elijah takes the sword from me and gives both our swords to Neo before saying to me. "Grab your jacket and let's go."

Elijah lost his temper, and only showed it outside by denting a brick wall with his fist. I pull him away from the wall, "Why are you so upset?"

"Because she clearly doesn't have respect for you."

"It's okay." I try to calm him down.

"No. It's not okay. You are her Queen. She should be showing you some respect."

"I'd rather her be honest, than pretending . After all, I'm used to immortals looking down on me. More used to that than this face."

His hand wipes a strand of sticky sweaty hair from my face. "You had to endure so much, I'm glad you had Abraham to protect you."

"Yeah. My life did become better after we becane friends. No one dared to bully me anymore."

"We can leave here after a few more training sessions."

"My magic is locked again, everyone will think I'm a reject."

"We'll figure something out. And anyway, you'll be joining the agency so as an agent they will have to respect you. What do you say?"

"Can a sword be good enough? Agents are immortals with either magic or a vampire."

"You'll have me, Neo and Josephine to protect you."

"Why do I get the feeling that you have a reason for wanting to make me an agent?"

"You're right. Making you an agent will help you show lady Agatha and those thinking a yang can't be good. see that it is possible."

"Okay. But I can't promise that I'll be good at it."

"I've recruited Darryn too, so you will have the opportunity to get to know your brother."

"Where is Darryn?" I haven't seen him, and usually he is with at least one of us.

"He left with Penelope who came to fetch him shortly after the spell was complete. Both went to Guardian Green to speak about the spell that worked. "

"You think I won't be their target anymore?"

"Of course not. The spell worked, didn't it?"

Why do I pick up some uncertainty in his voice?
